Wifi Power Socket App Remote Control Universal

Great wifi router. Nice app to have control options with settings!

I use this remote control with my D7000. I had a third-party wireless control, but it required a receiver to be plugged into a socket on the left side of the camera. That didn't work out well when using a tripod with camera mounted vertically. This remote solves that problem. Would prefer radio to infrared, but this works well for my needs.

I've has this product for over a year and a half. I really like the features and the remote control I have with the app.

since my phone is a 2023 motorola and can't run the app... which was a pain for activating the camera... I had to purchase this unit to supply gps to the X3. It works good. lets you control the camera, and shows status.. seems to work okay.. I noticed some of my gps mappings were slightly off, but i guess its just a thing. The only wonky thing with this remote is it 'awakening the camera'.. someone it is quick, sometimes it takes long.. and sometimes i simply just turn it on manually even with it on top of my head. The straps are nice, fits nice around the handlebar. sometimes i've noticed pushing the putting to take a picture, doesn't always take a picture.. These could be novice things, i'm sure things will get smoother. enjoying the experience.. just wish the camera itself didn't require the app for certain things. While I have figured out how to manually update the firmware of the x3, i have not figured out how to do so with the remote control, without the app.

Have only had it for a few days, but I love the power switch and volume control on the remote.

Does everything well. Get it with the eggcrate. The only downside is no built in WiFi and app control. The aputure mc does that at basically the same price point. This light is brighter than the mc. They’re both great for the money.

I was having major issues with my Red Komodo wireless control via the Red Control app for some time now. I tested it out on multiple devices in multiple wifi areas (dense vs. sparse) using both the 2.4 GHz and 5GHz modes. After so much frustration with dropped signals and stuttering live view, I had basically given up hope that I'd ever be able to use the Red Control app with my Komodo in any sort of real production situation. After doing some research online a few people recommended these lollipop antennas. They are pretty cheap so I figured what the heck, lemme give 'em a shot. Not much else to lose at this point. Lo and behold, the wifi signal from my Komodo is strong once again and the Red Control app is finally usable! I love that you can bend the antennas as well to try and test better reception based on direction, without fear of actually damaging them. This was a huge win for me!
