Wifi Range Extender Comcast Gigabit

I bought this gigabit mesh system to expand my wifi range, specifically for my outdoor wifi security cameras. Yes, they definitely connect much better. This intelligent system also knows where to connect all of my devices to the most efficient router/node. Amazing!

The extender setup was a breeze. It connected easily to my home network. It has extended the range of the WiFi significantly to the other end of the house. This sure beats the cheap knock-off I bought, which never was able to connect properly.

We are comcast customers and we have one room that we could not get comcast wifi reception (even with Comcast wifi pods.) Luckily I had previously wired the room with CAT5e access to a PoE switch that was connected by CAT6 cable to the Comcast modem/router. Adding the Ubiquiti AP was simple and it provides excellent wifi service in the formally wifi-isolated room. The SID for the room is different from the SID broadcast by the Comcast modem/router but this slight inconvenience is worth enduring to get a strong signal.

Using this mode on Comcast Gigabit service. Like the ability to see how the MODEM is working.

This modem let me upgrade to Comcast Gigabit tier and has worked perfectly. Paired with a Nighthawk router all my devices are running faster than ever and I don't have to rent any equipment! 15 devices connected on average and none of them ever slow down. If you have or are considering comcast, don't rent their equipment, buy this CM1000 and enjoy the speed you pay for!

Comcast upped speed to my house. I needed to upgrade my router to gigabit to take advantage This set up very easy. Picked up a tplink 1750 refurb router. Kept my other routers as access points and seeing good speed where I need it.
