Wifi Surveillance Camera App

This camera is used as surveillance on a bath and horse pasture. WiFi from the house doesn't reach so what a great alternative! Pictures are clear and notifications are great! With the solar power it should never need a charge! Setup was super easy on app. Great product!!

I'm using this on a pole to help perform roof inspections. The camera is great...the wifi app not so...the wifi app loses connection to often. I'm confident they will fix it because these cameras are high quality.

Have a pair of these, one at each end of a 50ft long house. Roaming is seamless and connections with 4 exterior WiFi surveillance cameras is great.

I'm very pleased with the Synology Surveillance system. Disk storage is a central part of a security camera system, and when I started researching additional storage for my old Windows-based system, I realized that Synology has a great add-on called Surveillance Station. I bought a Synology storage array with the intention of either using it with my existing Windows system or perhaps with the built-in Surveillance Station. I tested Surveillance Station and it worked really well - great software if you want their stand-along application - great web interface if you don't want to use the desktop app - and a great mobile app. I threw out the old Windows box and went with this complete solution instead. I will also point out that Synology offered me free trial licensees so I could test this with all 32 of my cameras at once. Definitely worth contacting them if you have questions or want a full-scale trial.

Very happy with this camera. It was easy to setup on the wifi using iPad app. The wide angle lens covers a broad area. I was going to mount it to the ceiling of my garage but the lights were overcoming the picture quality so I mounted it on the wall. One thing I learned that I wasn?t able to find info about: the camera starts to overwrite old dates when the memory card becomes about 80% full. (I was concerned that it night stop recording when full. )

So far it's been a great camera. Wifi and app work great, and nice photos from a point and shoot. Can't wait to learn all the settings as I get to use it more. Very satisfied with the product and service from B&H.

At a price well below what similar WIFI equipped cameras cost, this little camera really performs. Along with its app, you would never need to take out the card to download.

This set up has solved a pain point for me. I rely on the SONY mobile app for interior shots. The app and the phone have trouble working reliably as it seems having a known nearby WiFi access point causes my A6400's ad-hoc WiFi connection to be deprioritized. The remote connects reliably and consistently with great range between residential floors and behind walls to a receiver which uses a nice coiled cable to plug into the camera's microUSB port. The receiver mounts on the camera cold shoe mount, if equipped or using its 1/4"-20 thread, as pictured. There are several shooting modes and even bulb mode to select from using a LCD, which is back-lit when needed. The remote is not tiny and proportioned well, the buttons are easy to press and sized differently to help differentiate the shutter from the others. The lanyard is a nice and useful touch to prevent drops. This pair requires AAA batteries in both the remote and the receiver (which draws no power from the camera). I should also mention that the remote can be connected/ wired to the camera directly and in that mon-wireless case use, the receiver needs not be part of the set-up. This makes avoiding vibrations from camera- handling possible, for example for wildlife/ astro/ landscape/ product/ portrait photography without having to dig through the camera's contextual menus to use/ change the shooting modes.
