Sadly Nikon did not keep the wireless remote sensor on their D3100 model so I was forced to use a USB compatible model. The Vello model has been the perfect addition to serve my needs. Unfortunately mine did break where it plugs into the camera, ...I really think I just happened to get a bad model and since I really liked the features of this remote shutter release will be exchanging my broken one with the same model. We bought the Nest Thermostat and sensor, and installed it right away. Replaced old programmable thermostat. Very simple to install! Very easy to connect to Wifi and upstairs sensor. Love the look, and especially, the simplicity of it. It's programmable but it will learn your habits and needs with time. The phone app is a great addition and very usefull. Recommend highly!! great product. 5 |

I own the canon rebel T3, which does not have a built in sensor for a wireless remote. This remote plugs right in and works flawlessly with my camera. 5 |

The Nest Temperature Sensor is a great way to measure another temperature in the house for either warmer or cooler temperatures. Bedroom, upstairs, basement, etc. Ties in to the main Nest thermostat. You can pick to set the desired temperature based on the sensor, or schedule different temperatures. Have it run off the sensor at night, and off the thermostat in the day. Very easy to set up. 5 |

I really like being about to select which sensor the thermostat controls the temperature at. I do wish they were a bit more automated into the app but the way they work is ok. 5 |

Have it in the nursery and love it, only thing I would change would be the ability to set personal timeslots to use the sensor instead of thermostat. 5 |

It works. The only thing that you should know is that on the D80 (at least) the remote sensor is on the front of the camera. It works well, though. 5 |
