Wii Switch Emulator Games For Android

In the past, I used a Western Digital WDTV Live for Netflix, as well as to access all of my locally-stored media (a task at which it still excels). but it is becoming old and not totally reliable for Netflix. I also have a Wii U, which handles CrunchyRoll, and, lately Netflix, without the crazy background noise of the XBox 360. It, however, lacks a couple of features I use, such as local media access and Internet radio. Both the WDTV and the Wii U are not likely to see much feature development, unlike an Android box. Hulu, for example, was pulled from the Wii U last year. When the new Shield TV was announced, I hoped I could use it the replace the streaming and local media services of the WDTV and the Wii U. It ships with Netflix, although I could do without the Netflix button on the remote, and CrunchyRoll and Kodi are free downloads. So far, all are working well.Setup options allow for system flexibility in terms of audio channels and video display. The main menu is also easy to personalize. I have paired a Bluetooth keyboard for text entry in search fields and there are some games which work with it.My only difficulty is not with the Shield, itself, but wading through the sea of streaming apps, to see what is really usable. There are many free ones, but the activation requires an account on the web site of the publisher, which cannot be done through the Shield, apparently by design of the publishers. I have not yet tried the pay services, other then Netflix and CrunchyRoll which predate my purchase of the Shield. What I have installed, so far, easily fits into the smaller memory of this model Shield, but I added a 32G MicroSD, just as I did on my old Android phone, and made it primary storage for everything. 5 |

I bought this for backing up family videos and pictures but I'm using to load games on my Wii because it is so much faster than my Seagate GoFlex 500GB. I'm using it on USB 2.0 mode co can't comment on 3.0. This is my second WD portable drive and I'll makes sure the next ones are WD again. 5 |

Works great. I had the previous generation and it does not disappoint, which was my switch from iPhone to Android. 5 |

Works well on my OLED Switch. Plenty of space for games I own. 5 |

I have used the Amazon Fire Stick, Matricom G-Box Q and Roku 3 for a while. I had been thinking about getting the NVidia Shield TV for a while and finally decided to get it when the new version with Amazon and the smaller footprint was released. I have played with it for about 2 weeks and I have to say that this is the most powerful box I have used as far as Android TV is concerned. I have SlingTV, YouTube, Amazon Video, Plex and Kodi apps that I use most often. I do have a 32GB usb stick connected to save apps and data there since I have the 16GB model. That works but apps do take a little longer to start from the USB. I did install a few games that the kids enjoy playing and they work great. Some games do crash every now and then such as Hungry Shark but not all. The included remote and came controller are easy to use and get used to. This box makes using Android TV enjoyable whereas others promise performance that diminishes quickly over time. I would highly recommend this box to anyone who doesn't mind spending $200 and values performance and quality of cost. This box replaced a Roku, G-Box and Chromecast for me and I don't have to buy a separate gaming console for the kids, at least for a little while. 5 |
