This cable works with all types of U.2 drives when connected to a slim line SAS connector on the motherboard, HBA, or RAID card. It is universally compatible with Highpoint HBAs, other HBAs, or direct connection to the CPU. Speeds on the drives I have connected using this cable meet their full advertised speed.

Absolutely love this NAS. Quiet, fast, and did I say quiet and fast!? I configured this 64GB memory model with 5x 7.68 TB Samsung U.2 drives in a RAID 5 array. The U.2 drives are fast like M.2 drives, but they have huge, finned heat sinks (same size as 2.5 drives but with NVMe connectors instead of SATA) and they fit nicely in the 12 available drive bays. I'm not new to fast video editing RAIDs, but I've come from servers and workstations with 5 to 16 rotating drives and 8x 2.5 SSDs arrays. I have been using 4GB cache Areca controller cards and 10Gbe copper ethernet. Now, this NAS is so much more convenient, soooo much quieter, and soooo much faster! I read good things about QuTS hero (ZTFS), so that is the operating system that I chose to use (it is included with the purchase). I have absolutely no buyer's remorse. Yes, this NAS is not cheap, but I didn't really run across any other solutions that were this fast, quiet, and scalable.

The remote works like a Wii controller and makes typing and searching for shows so much easier!

I got this to transport a Nintendo Wii unit. Worked as needed and is very secure. I wish I had an electirc carving knife to shape the foam better. I need to search for other methods.

I was trying to buy this for a long time but it was perpetually back ordered. Then I discovered there's an old and a new model...just like the polarizer. You want the one that says Screw WII on it. Look for the WII. My guess is the old is always back-ordered because Canon doesn't make them anymore. That one seems to be in stock usually. It comes with a 52mm screw in PROTECT filter. Basically a piece of plain glass but wayyy better than the gelatin filter. I don't know why Canon insists on supplying the gelatin filter with the lens! It should come with the screw in type! I own the 200mm f/2 and the 400mm f/2.8. I also own three of these, one with the polarizer, one with a screw in Schneider UV filter and one with a soft-pro but that's mainly for the 200. They seem to be interchangeable between any of the long white L lenses. The 52mm filters are usually fairly cheap because of their size.

I wanted a product to convert from Wii into HDMI output for a HDMI projector. Staff at B&H worked with me more closely to find the best option for me. I was telling them wrong wires of Wii. They went online to see the right wires. Then they looked at different options. Suggested me additional gear that would help me. Suggested me how I make sure that this gear works for a long time for me. More than the product I enjoy taking the help of B&H staff. They ALWAYS make my day. The best team ever in the world. I hope they grow a lot and are always successful.

Bought it for personal and work use. I tried it yesterday and my friends loved the picture quality while we played Wii U with it. I'll be using this for work presentations too.

I bought this for backing up family videos and pictures but I'm using to load games on my Wii because it is so much faster than my Seagate GoFlex 500GB. I'm using it on USB 2.0 mode co can't comment on 3.0. This is my second WD portable drive and I'll makes sure the next ones are WD again.

In the past, I used a Western Digital WDTV Live for Netflix, as well as to access all of my locally-stored media (a task at which it still excels). but it is becoming old and not totally reliable for Netflix. I also have a Wii U, which handles CrunchyRoll, and, lately Netflix, without the crazy background noise of the XBox 360. It, however, lacks a couple of features I use, such as local media access and Internet radio. Both the WDTV and the Wii U are not likely to see much feature development, unlike an Android box. Hulu, for example, was pulled from the Wii U last year. When the new Shield TV was announced, I hoped I could use it the replace the streaming and local media services of the WDTV and the Wii U. It ships with Netflix, although I could do without the Netflix button on the remote, and CrunchyRoll and Kodi are free downloads. So far, all are working well.Setup options allow for system flexibility in terms of audio channels and video display. The main menu is also easy to personalize. I have paired a Bluetooth keyboard for text entry in search fields and there are some games which work with it.My only difficulty is not with the Shield, itself, but wading through the sea of streaming apps, to see what is really usable. There are many free ones, but the activation requires an account on the web site of the publisher, which cannot be done through the Shield, apparently by design of the publishers. I have not yet tried the pay services, other then Netflix and CrunchyRoll which predate my purchase of the Shield. What I have installed, so far, easily fits into the smaller memory of this model Shield, but I added a 32G MicroSD, just as I did on my old Android phone, and made it primary storage for everything.
