Will Doorbell Camera Disable Existing Bell

I installed this as a standalone installation (without an existing door bell chime). I used the google power adapter purchased from the google website. The doorbell was easy to install. I am extremely happy with the person and package notifications that I get promptly on my phone and apple watch. This doorbell integrated seamlessly with my google nest wifi / google speakers. A few seconds after someone rings the doorbell my google speakers chime. My only complaint is that the camera view could be a little bit wider. I I would like to capture a little more of the floor infront of my door. I could probably angle the doorbell down a little to accomplish this.

I had installed my door camera and hooked it up to my existing doorbell. The doorbell worked only half the time and caused the chime box to hum. I ordered the Lorex chime box to see if that would work better and it did. Easy to set up and works every time. Lots of odd chime options, but at least there are choices. I would recommend it if you are having issues with your existing chime not working properly.

I had a competitors video doorbell. As I don't have a bell wiring, my old one was battery operated. However, I was unimpressed by the diminishing battery life, the laggy and constant 'error message' prone app and was looking for an alternative. I was able to buy this when they offered the wall outlet option and I must say, it's an awesome product. Integration with Nest Hub is excellent.

Love my Lorex Video Doorbell, but it would not always work with my old bell box. So now I have an option and know that someone is at the front door. Love it.

I installed the Nest doorbell the other day. I watched the installation instructions on there website and followed the installation instructions on the mobile app. They were vey easy to follow and in no time I had our door bell installed. The app was easy to navigate and I was able to set the door bell up with the features we needed. The experience was much easier than anticipated. Very pleased

The biggest issue is wondering what existing door bell you have and if it has the correctvoltage to make the nest hello Work. If you don’t it’s frustrating. Yellow light, blue light not clear if that an accurate way to see if you have the right voltage. If the bell stays yellow just says to call a pro. When maybe it’s a simple door bell replacement. Just never know with lights. Need actual specs.

Fantastic product. Setup took 8 minutes and I was even able to use the existing holes from my previous doorbell so I didn’t have to anchor or drill any new screws in my stonework. As always, these are incredibly user friendly and easy to install and setup. Highly recommend and love the visitor announcement feature through my Google speakers when someone rings the bell. Great work Nest and Google!

Installed yesterday, easy to follow instructions for installation over existing doorbell setup. I have a newly built house with a modern mechanical doorbell setup. Comes with a nice 6mm drill bit. Picture is clear even on the low quality setting.

This replaced my existing doorbell and was easy to install. Instructions were great. Both my wife and I get alerts to our phone when someone rings the bell or even if just motion by the door. Happy we purchased.
