Used it during the recent solar eclipse. Filter allowed me to get shots of the eclipse before and after totality without any damage to my camera's image sensor. Worked like a charm. 5 |

The most important thing for me, of course, was that there was no damage to my camera sensor. So great on that account. Otherwise it did what it was supposed to do. It’s unbelievably dark. You still will probably need to use a high F stop and a fairly fast shutter speed. I didn’t get to photograph a complete eclipse, because I was a few kilometers short of a complete annular eclipse so I had a fairly bright sun throughout. I believe I was mainly shooting at F 16, with a shutter speed of 500 or more but I’d have to check my file data. 5 |

I purchased to NiSi solar filter to capture the solar eclipse with my mirrorless camera using a telephoto lens. I read the reviews and it met all the specs I was looking for to photograph the sun safely and protecting my camera. I look forward to the next eclipse in April and will be using the NiSi filter again. 5 |
