I must admit, the first time I unboxed the instrument, I was amazed at the build quality. It has some heft, the keys are properly and ergonomically placed and you know Akai really took their time to perfect this wind controller. But as a long time saxophone player, the first time I actually played some scales, I was quite disappointed - it didn't feel like a saxophone. I was beginning to regret my purchase and thought about exchanging it for the WX5. So I gave it a few more days. Days turned to weeks, and I am beginning to appreciate this instrument. Keep practicing those scales, breathing with the mouthpiece and you realize how this is such an amazing wind controller. I made a mistake thinking that this is a replacement for a saxophone in an apartment situation. In reality, you should think about how this instrument can be an extension to your musical endeavors. The possibilities you can do with the sounds and playability are endless. There are a few usable synths prebuilt, but I suggest using the Akai EWI 5000 Editor to really play and edit your sounds then save it to the user bank. Also there are synths out there that can be used if you plug the EWI as just a midi wind controller; unfortunately you can't upload other synth sounds into the controller. Definitely give it some time to get used to the instrument especially moving from one octave to another. Keep practicing and you'll appreciate that there's hardly any moving parts here. I was opposed at it first since horns have that tactile and key feedback. But with the touch sensitivity, it really felt I was playing an instrument from the future. Again, you just have to get used to it - think about when mobile phones shift from physical keyboards to the modern phones we have today. And here I am today still keeping my purchase and writing a review. I thank Akai for making a top-notch wind controller and continuing the support for the modern electronic wind musician. 5 |

I noticed a lot of podcasters and radio personalities use this mic, not to mention all the acclaims of notable musicians but I was still a little skeptical of it would sound sound much better than the Heil PR-40. I’m not really an audiophile but I loved how my voice recording sounded compared to the Heil PR4. It is definitely a great dynamic mic. 5 |

I photograph a variety of community events and personalities. I decided to get this lens for interior group shots and also to add perspective for exterior shots. The lens performed admirably. Many of these shots could have been taken with more standard portrait focal lengths in the 50mm to 70mm range, but those would have put the focus almost entirely on the subject vs. the subject plus their context. I like the range of creative possibilities this lens opens up. The B&H article on wide and super wide angle lenses will give a good idea to beginners on how to get the best use out of the lens. 5 |

While I'm still somewhat new to Photography, I had been struggling to get my pictures looking crispy, With some knowledge and help from youtube personalities, I found myself looking for a Grey/White balance card, and have not been displeased with this purchase! My photos and videos are looking better than ever now and for the price and size it's easily portable and works great, 10/10 Heckin' great 5 |

The X-T3 is a terrific camera with multiple personalities. Add the grip and you have a terrific camera for portraits and action. Without the grip is is a lightweight camera with excellent AF and beautiful IQ that is light and perfect for travel and street. My other X-T3 is black and this makes it easy to tell the two retro looking cameras appart. With every control you need to take a photo on the body wasting time in the menus is avoidable yet when you need something special anything you might want is there and highly configurable. On top of all this there are the beautiful Fuji Film Simulations allowing for many different looks and gorgeous color. 5 |

There is no shortage of good choices in the. 35mm range for the Fuji system. Even so I'm surprised this lens has not gotten more attention. The lens has two personalities, much like the ZM 50 1,5 in the ff world. It is a bit soft wide open, especially on the edges. This is more a design choice than a technical fault on the part of voigtlander. A very classic, soft look. Stopped down 2 stops or so and it becomes a thoroughly modern and sharp lens. As one would expect all other aspects are well controlled. Build quality is very, very good. Not the tank like build of classic Nikon lenses but not the weight either, better build than zm lenses. If you have not shot with a manual focus lens I would urge you to do so. It just slows you down a bit and makes you think. With a little practice you will find yourself also paying attention to composition as you focus. Overall, a very interesting and a bit unique lens. Two personalities - classic/vintage rendering wide open, modern stopped down. a bit. A little pricey but worth it. Hopefully Voigtlander will make many more lenses in the Fuji mount. Best compared to ZM 50 1.5 as a niche and fun lens. 5 |

Perhaps my favourite bw film. It has multiple personalities: in Rodinal is crispy and contrasted, in other developers is more gentle. Using it with an infrared or deep red filter it becomes a film capable to catch nearer infrared. Very high resolution in any developer. It has also the more transparent support I've ever seen. What else could you ask? On the other side this is not a forgiving film. It needs to be exposed as it should and it doesn't respond well to push processing (still it's possible though). Great for reportage, street, nude, landscapes. Not so much when you need a fast film. 5 |
