Window Mounted Surveillance Camera
Camp life | 0000-00-00 00:00:00 |
I purchased this camera as a surveillance for my camp . I mounted it 15’ in a tree looking over my camp and it sent great pictures. During hurricane ida it was broken loose from the tree , submerged in 2’ of water and Found 3 months later stuck i mud with only the antenna sticking out . There was moisture i could see in the lense . I removed the batteries and left it dry out in the sun for a day and reinstalled the batteries. It works exactly as it did when it was new . Great camera . I’ll definitely be buying more . 5 |

I recently received my Oben Car Window Mount, and while I have not had a chance to use it in the field, I did put my camera on it and mounted it on my truck window. It holds my camera quite solidly, even with a long lens and is easy to use. I think it is an excellent value and I recommend it for any photographer who travels a lot via automobile. 5 |

I purchased both this support and the Kirk WM-2. The Kirk seems to have a stronger construction, but presents a few issues that puts the Eckla in first place. 1. the Eckla fits perfectly in the window door slot allowing the window to be up or down. Once mounted, you can swing the camera sideways, and raise the window for travel. 2. the Eckla has a large flat surface and presents a lower profile for a camera mount or gimbal head. 3. it can be mounted inside OR outside the vehicle. 4. it is quickly removed and reinstalled. We spend a month or more shooting (photography) in the Kruger each year and found this support to be perfect. 5 |

These macro extenders are well made, precise, tight, and very lightweight, in keeping with the lightweight construction of the Z50. Not quite as heavy or solid as the Kenko equivalents. Contact rings are chrome plated metal, bodies are plastic. They look like part of the lens and camera when mounted. Images are superior to those using front mounted optics. Autofocus and exposure are seamless. With a zoom you sometimes have to adjust focal length to get within focus range. The extremely shallow field depth is useful for shooting skittish subjects like birds through a closed window, so long as the window is clean enough the camera doesn't focus on the dirt instead of what you want to shoot. The first photo is a generic definition test with the Z50 DX 50-250 f/4.5-6.3 VR kit lens at 50mm f/4.5 1/80s ISO1000 and 32mm extension. Definition is good at center but not so good at margins. The second is a snapshot through a window with the same camera and lens at 250mm f/6.3 1/400s ISO5600 and 20mm extension (unfortunately with a table lamp light reflected by the window). The third image is a crop of the second showing detail definition. The fourth image is a simple crop of the second without further editing. 5 |

This is exactly what I needed to get my old surveillance camera back up and running. Thanks. 5 |

Quick and easy to use, and holds on very tight. Have used it mounted to a dry car (both on the hood and on a window), and it stays on even on very rough terrain. 5 |

We use it for spotting deer, coyotes and people on our property. It is ease to maneuver my scope once it is mounted to my window. It seems to be strong enough that my scope is solid and doesn't wiggle and move. 5 |

This little window mount is a good option. I mounted a Benro s2 head on it, just like the one on my tripod, so I could interchange from binoculars to Spotting scope without changing adapters on the bottom of the binoculars/Spotting scope. 5 |

Mounted on a table-top tripod behind a dirty window, on a cloudy day, I can make out a bluejay in the trees from 200 yards away. 5 |

I'm using it for concerts, where it improves footage that previously looked more like a surveillance camera! 5 |
