I should have bought this when I bought the camera! If you are on a budget, skimp on something else. You need this if you shoot in the outdoors. I actually held the on camera mic outside the window of a moving truck at highway speed and got zero wind thump! None, Nada! Spend the money! Get one! 5 |

The V67G looks beutiful and sounds great. Very wide and tall window for picking up voice. This can be awesome for songs were it's hard to stay on top of the mic to sing while playing guitar. Now if there is a bunch of other sounds close to the mic it will pick them up as well. This mic requires phantom power which some things do not provide eg. JM4 Looper and some Amps. Check your gear first. Also this is not a workhorse mic. what i mean is the internals are more fragile than say a SureSM58, which is my workhorse. As far as sound quality the MXL has the sure beat plus a little more. 5 |

This is my second most used window pattern from the Chimera Window Patterns Kit. I use it to light boring walls behind talent on interview shoots. I've got to confess I made my own cucoloris pattern using foam board and it looks downright creepy. Boris Karloff sort of stuff. So I broke down and purchased the Chimera patterns. I prefer the larger Chimera patterns when trying to add a splash to walls, the smallest patterns seem better suited to me for extremely small areas. I appreciate and stand behind the Chimera brand for their quality, portability as well as tried and true safety while on location. Great product. Recommended for anybody's kit. 5 |
