Great for backing up files. It worked on a Windows 11 and Windows 10 computer. 5 |

love these memory cards. pros - fast transfer of RAW files, cons - might be too fast for windows 10, always vanishes when transferring RAW files, easier to drag and drop 5 |

Bought this to back up my PC files and create a System Image Backup for Windows 10. It works flawlessly, which is all one wants from an external USB drive. I like the case design - it has small rubber feet on the back which enables it to sit securely on my PC (or a desk) without slipping or falling. 5 |

I installed it, Windows 10 recognized it, and it works as it should. Faster backup for my media files and keeps the workflow with my older PC still viable. 5 |

This item couldn't be any better or easier to install. I have Windows 10 and all I had to do was plug it in and start connecting my Bluetooth accessories 5 |

I'm amazed that this zoom recorder does so much for such a cheap price. The gain dials work great and there is an attenuation switch right next to each dial so you don't have to go into the menu if things get super loud. I was using the Roland r-26. The zoom does a few things that the Roland can not. It has 2 extra XLR inputs. You can control which channel you hear in the headphones and how loud it is in relation to other channels. I have the stereo mics that come with the zoom set to 5 on the gain dial and leave it there to record the same audio that my cameras are recording so I can sync the audio easily later. I turn the volume of that channel down to mute in the headphones so I don't have to hear it over the audio I'm actually trying to record with the XLR mics. The recorded audio sounds great. On one shoot I forgot my Shotgun mic and was forced to use the stereo mics that come with the Zoom. The audio was quite good. If you shoot in the studio like I do, this doesn't come with an ac power supply but it does come with the mini usb cord. You can find a cheap phone charger at any electronics store that will work with this recorder. I couldn't find a longer usb cord anywhere so I use an extension cord. The only thing I wish the zoom and every other recorder I've tried would do differently is give the option for all of the recorded files to end up in a single folder. Every time I hit record it sticks the files in a new folder. Then I have to manually open every folder to drag the files into premiere. 5 |

I use this drive to back up files from my desktop that I take with me when I travel. Having no interest in WD's backup software, I was concerned that the software would be preinstalled and difficult to remove, as was the case with previous generation Passport dirves. The software is NOT preinstalled, but resides as an executable file in a folder on the drive: If you do not want the software, simply do not install it. This folder also contains some useful diagnostic utilities and installing those is the easiest way to register the drive, which I recommend. After I did that, I moved the entire folder to another drive, which leaves a completely empty drive. Although some users of 5400 RPM drives claim that they are not appropriate for storage, I have never found this to be the case. I have large RAW and .tif files as well as .wavs and various video files and all work fine. This drive is quiet and runs cool. Although it does not have an off switch, unplugging it is not a problem. It is a USB 3.0 drive, but functions fine with USB 2.0. A SATA connection would be nice, but I've had no issues with speed whatsoever. 5 |
