Windows 10 Ethernet Adapter Keeps Old Network Name

Old laptop network adapter replacement, intermittent WiFi signal, adapter is to help with that

Be using it to connect a laptop to Ethernet and work works without any issues in Windows 10.

Able to use it on my home wired ethernet network to screen cast my entire Windows desktop, as well as cast Youtube videos, etc.

Old desk top was struggling with running Win-10 32bt. Only had 4gb ram, when opening a few picture/ video apps it was wheezing and stumbling all over the place. I checked Dell support to see if two 2gb would work with two 8gb in my 7010 Opti, both they and Crucial said it would, and boy does it! Note that the max ram for 32bit Windows is only 4gb, if you upgrade ram over 4 gb you have to switch to the 64bit Windows version for the system to recognize/use the added ram. You Tube has tons of info on how. Was a Very Good investment!

I got this for a PC that had no free slots for a 10 gigabit Ethernet card. It installed automatically on Windows 10 and has been perfectly reliable for the first couple weeks. Very solid performance at 5 gigabit.

If you don't have a built-in Ethernet adapter, this gets the job done. Windows automatically identified and connected to the adapter. I was successfully on the Ethernet within a few seconds.

Works fine with Windows and Mac. This adapter can basically max out a gigabit Ethernet connection. I have it connected to a USB port on the back of my monitor so that a single cable gets me not only power and video, but also a better internet connection.

I did a speed test with this adapter connected and I was getting over 500 mbps upload and download speeds on my work network connection, which is as fast as I can expect to get. I'm using this with my Macbook Air that only has USB-C ports and no ethernet port. This adapter worked right out of the box to give me an ethernet connection. Just plugged the ethernet cable in to the adapter, connected the adapter to the CPU's USB-C port, and my computer connected to my work network flawlessly. The wifi at my work is not great, so this adapter is giving me a fast network connection now through ethernet. I did a speed test and I'm getting approximately 500mbps upload/download speeds with this adapter, which is fantastic. I also appreciate that the adapter has LED indicators. One light shows there is a connection (green). The middle light shows there is power (White/blue). And the 3rd light blinks orange to show there is activity. Having these lights could come in handy if I need to trouble shoot, which is very helpful. The build quality is also really good. This feels like it will last a long time. The cable seems sturdy and the ethernet cable plugs in securely into the adapter's port. Overall, I'm happy with this adapter and it is working very well. It's a marvelous 'plug and play' adapter with Windows 10. You just can't expect any more of a product...
