Windows 10 Ultra Wide Monitor Settings

Great replacement for my old ultra-wide monitor.

1440p goodness on a ultra wide monitor with almost ultra high quality!

I bought these for our company to do at home recorded videos on their laptops with better audio quality than the built in laptop microphone. I just tested it and compared it to the laptop mic and there is a very noticeable increase in quality when using the usb lav. At first it was way too over modulated but then I realized I needed to tweak the mic settings in windows 10. First, plug it in and let it download the drivers automatically. Then, type the word sound in the windows 10 search bar and click sound settings. In there, go to the microphone area and make sure the usb lav is the active one selected. Once it is, click on device properties and in that menu adjust the volume slider until you have a proper microphone level that isn't topping out too much to the right on the sound level bar. I put mine around 40-50 but it depends on how close the mic is to you mouth.

The monitor came nicely packaged with the essential cables to connect this beast of a monitor to my high end Rig. After setting up the monitor and turning it on for the first time, I had to step back as my smile grew as wide as the monitor figuratively speaking. I couldn’t wait but fired up a game of GTA and was amazed how much more I can see within the game. The 240 Hz just made it so buttery smooth playing on this 49inch UltraGear Monitor. As nice as the monitor is for gaming, I also love how much screen real estate I have now. I can multitask like never before with Adobe Photoshop, browsing the internet, Word and so much more. On my old monitor I would have to move apps around in order to adjust for productivity. Now that’s in the past thanks to this extremely Ultra-Wide monitor. I am glad I made this purchase to help utilize it best for multitasking, recreational and so much more.

Love this monitor but the only negative is I cannot change the contrast because of the factory HDR settings. The windows task bar is a little gray vs black for my liking. Have not found a way to adjust it. The setting is disabled.

Well made, thin and will avoid vignetting at wide settings like 10 mm

The image quality is great and I like the wide-angle feature. Works fine on Windows 10. No software or drivers have to be installed. The only disappointment is that it is not as smart as a smartphone in handling backlighting. If you have a window behind you, a light is essential.
