Windows 7 Hdd Format

Small and well built. Had to format to make use with windows.

..first 24 hours..used only 7%..couldn't ask for anything better...

lost the hdd in a recent move in my newest laptop.  replaced with this.  was a breeze.  just installed and used windows media tool to install fresh windows 10.  so easy even grandma should be able to do it...wow its a lean mean blazing machine now...

I had a computer issue that I needed to format my HDD so I need a quick and convenient way to copy my files so when I reloaded my programs and would have my documents, pictures, etc. Great flash drive for that type of work and also transferring files from one computer to another. Very fast transfer rate and very efficient way to complete my computer re-install.

Works in the NAS as it should but you have to do one step before you can add it to the RAID. You need to remove all other HDD to format it, in the WD My Cloud EX4100, unless you have a stand alone setup to do so. Once formatted, you're just a few button clicks away from getting it setup on you RAID. Our last HDD was the same brand and size that lasted about 7 years at a usage rate of nearly 50 hours a week.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got this for my ageing laptop which was using HDD and in windows 10 it really started to show its age. And then got some HDD bad sector and I started looking for Replcement and rather then going for Normal HDD I used the Kingston SSD and the difference in speed was really noticeable, the windows load time decreased noticeable rather I should say it got decreased by 70%. Windo was also snappy loading the programs. I installed 120GB for my windows and my important programs or games which I need. But in all a great product no issue with installations ne no extra setup setup.

I just replaced my 5400rpm 120GB dedicated windows HDD. USB adapter is not included for easier cloning so I just installed initially as a extra F: drive to clone and then I just switched cables to be detected as C: After additional Windows optimizations for a SSD drive, my 2003 pc 4GB Ram DualCore CPU it is working fast as expected. Before I have some annoying delays on some applications that are much better now.

It loaded Windows so fast and games seem to load much quicker too. It was really easy to install, I just popped the old one out and put this one in, and then reloaded Windows. The install went smoothly, it was a good experience overall. Highly recommend.

I moved o.s. and bootable disk to this drive and now windows starts up in five seconds instead of the 30-40 seconds it was taking with the HDD.
