Windows Laptop With Retina Like Display

I've split my productivity and gaming setups for years. And this display represents a significant leap toward an eventual convergence. For productivity, I typically use a semi-recent Mac connected to some kind of Apple-sanctioned retina display. While for gaming, I typically run a custom-built Windows PC and some kind of 1440p+ monitor running at or above a refresh rate of 120hz. Recent improvements to Linux have made it easier for me to supplant macOS and Windows with a single software base, and the commodity hardware available for Linux systems–muck like Windows systems–is a big plus for me. However, the display has always been a weak point. The lower PPI of non-retina displays distracts me from my productivity and will eventually result in strain given extended use. But this monitor hasn't quite closed the gap for what I'm looking for. One day, I hope to have the best of both worlds. A retina display with excellent color and a high refresh rate that works well with commodity hardware. Until then, this is my favorite monitor on the market.

I was looking for a backpack that would be slim and small for my Macbook 13 Retina Display laptop. It is nearly perfect for this. It also needed to hold things like charger, headphones, tablet, etc. This backpack is very slim and light and all the necessities fit nicely and are easy to access. The padding is great, though I would like just a little more padding on the bottom to protect my laptop a little more. But that is a little nit. I really like this backpack.

This MacBook is all that I ever dreamed of in a laptop - and more. Truly the Cadillac of laptops, the pro motion Retina display is a marked step up from my pc. Everything about MacOS is designed with efficiency in mind, and all of the features just work as they should (something important to me as I pursue a degree). I sadly cannot even begin to say the same about my windows machine. If you’re on the verge of buying a MacBook, I encourage you to commit. You will not regret it

Switched from Windows laptop. This MacBook has Good performance, good display, good speakers, good battery, good keyboard and track pad, good camera. And on top of that ....clean MacOS. Overall....nailed the basics of a laptop. I went with the base variant 8gb RAM 256gb SSD and being a software engineer myself....it's good enough computing power for me. Tip : If you get too confused with the colors, get the silver one. It looks the best and the most premium of the bunch in real life. And .....no ugly fingerprints too

This display is beautiful and a good match for my new iMac 24 Retina Display. Thank you, Marco, for suggesting it. It's a little more expensive than what I had in mind but well worth it. Easy set-up and looks terrific as a dual screen.

I switched to a Mac Studio recently after spending the last 10 years editing video on iMac, and this monitor holds up incredibly well. No, it is not a 5K Retina display. However, it is about $1,000 less expensive than an Apple Display, and after using it for two weeks, I'm not noticing any major differences. The color and the resolution are high quality and very suitable for editing 4K video. This monitor also connects directly to the Mac Studio through a USB-C, and it started right up the first time. (I had read reviews that firmware needed to be updated on the monitor to use the USB-C connection, but I didn't not experience this). The 31.5 display is also a nice upgrade over the 27 iMac - that extra bit of real estate is always welcome. It takes up about the same amount of space on my desk as the iMac did. The matte screen is also great. The Retina Displays were too glossy with too many reflections, whereas this monitor minimizes and soften reflections. I'm very happy with this purchase, and if you're looking for a cost-effective alternative to an Apple Display, I would recommend the Dell Ultrasharp 31.5 4K HDR Monitor.

Bought this display to accompany my ASUS laptop computer. Like the multiple connections and ease of operation so far. I eventually used the DVI port as this has solved a monitor dropout problem I was having when I engaged the usb audio out from laptop to a DAC. I also connected the laptop's audio output jack to the ProArt display so it too could have sound output if I choose. Now considering upgrading to an ASUS tower computer.

Worked for my late 2015 iMac 27 inch Retina display. Don't buy apples ram it's a waste of money. Buy this ram. It's super easy to install and it works like a charm. If you're unsure on how to install it there are great YouTube videos that will walk you through it.
