With one word of caution. AT THIS WRITING AMD processors support the new PCIE 4.0 standard that this drive operates on. Intel processors are not scheduled to be released that support this new protocol until 2021. It used the Windows 10 default 2006 Microsoft driver to operate with. Once I took it out of that system and put in a PCIE 3.0 drive that the system supported, all errors disappeared. Intel processor users will just have to wait until later this years when Intel chipsets supporting this new protocol are are mainstream.

I use windows 8.1 quite often. On this mac, all drives (except the internal flash drive) are external. Windows runs great off Thunderbolt connected drives. You can have multiple window drives and select the one you want on boot by holding down the option key.

We are using a flash drive to store and playback videos on a portable projector. I tried with a USB 3.0 Flash Drive, thinking the newer version was better. But the projector had a different idea. I learned from the professionals at B+H that this unit requires an older USB 2.0 Flash Drive. I never would have thought of that but sure enough, when I used this Verbatim 64G Ergo USB 2.0, the projector recognized the videos and played them flawlessly.

22TB SanDisk Pro G-Drive drive review I'm using this drive in a large photo and film Archive. I purchase a sample drive to test out before committing to more drives. The reformat to Windows is a pain. Luckily, I found a YT video that walked me through it. After reformatting the drive to Windows, the 22TB shrunk to 20TB. That is disappointing. It is not that noisy, just a few clicks once in a while. It is decently fast and really kinda quiet. I am using a USB3.0 port with Oyen adapter cable to go from USB C to USB A. SanDisk only gives you a USB C cable. Time will tell how they hold up, but if they do hold up, I plan to buy a few more.

Tried two other brands which did`nt like windows ten, this one however is fantastic, worth the extra $$$`s!!!
