Windows Screen Capture And Recording Options

I bought it to use for screen capture tutorial recording. It works exactly as expected for that. App is optional but it can only change the level on the analog output.

I'm using this for recording with Camtasia screen capture software for training videos. It got me out of the laptop mic talking in a box sound. Quite pleased with it in all aspects. Sound, size, style - it works as expected and has improved the quality of my videos. It's compact enough to travel with, though it is heavy enough that I won't take it on business trips unless I'm certain I'll be using it.

Great flexibility for all types of recording situations. On screen menu and options are clear and organized. Battery is descent but I suggest purchasing a longer life battery for continuous shooting. A viewfinder would have been a great inclusion. Overall this is my first time owning an HD camcorder of this format and already have used editing programs with the AVCHD and have been very satisfied with the results.

Lots of options for all types of recording modes, easy to use / intuitive touch screen interface, all the scopes and tools needed on set.

It gets the job done. Have enough options for simple but hight quality audio recording.

The Magewell USB Capture HDMI Plus is pretty much just plug-n-play and it works great. Both Windows and Linux PCs recognized it immediately. Tried it with my Nikon DSLR and a Cannon camcorder and both were flawless. Currently using this with Cannon camcorder to stream church services during Covid-19 and giving my smartphone a break. (Note, no fault of this product, but my Linux PC didn't see the audio feed from the Magewell, so I had to plug audio into the computer's mic-in port, but Windows saw the audio feed along with the video right away.)

If you're looking for a battery that will last forever this is almost it. You can get almost 6 hours of continous use out of this battery while recording and with the LCD screen on.

Nice combination of inputs and recording options. Has some self-noise but much lower than some comparable units.
