I'm happy with it, but sometimes it makes it impossible to turn off view file extensions in windows explorer unless I reboot.

Easy to use. Attached to PC running Windows 10 and was quickly detected and added to file system. Been adding 1800+ DVD/Blu-Ray movie collection to the drive and data transfer speed has been quite good. Have only had for a couple of weeks so can't say much about the longevity of the unit. Only time will tell ;-).

The speed of data transfer is amazing. The hard drive is compatible with both the Windows and Mac file system i.e. amazing. Plus it is very handy to carry.

The San Disk Flash drive works great and is compatible with Windows XP and Windows 7. The file transfer is very fast and the device works like a charm. I have read good reports about SanDisk memory sticks.

When I received the Tascam's DR-10L, the first thing I noticed was its tiny size. This recorder is practically weightless, far smaller than most wireless body packs. My first fear was it would be too hard to operate the controls and to see the tiny menu. But Tascam did its homework. The menu, operating on a single line with clear terminology, is much better and more understandable than many of Tascam's larger record. A couple of things I like. When you know all your settings, you can make a text file and put it on microSDNC card. When the recorder is turned on, the file activates all your preferences. Another is the dual recording mode, which allows two separate files to be recorded simultaneously at different levels. If the main audio track becomes over-modulated due to some accident, the second channel is recorded 6 dB lower in level. Audio levels can be set to automatic, or manual to a series of preset positions. The best place to set the recorder with the included mic is the middle level, I found. My only difficulty was with the sliding switch used to place the recorder in the record mode. It requires a good finger nail to access, since the space is so limited. For older users, it also might be useful to wear a good pair of glasses the first time while setting up the menus. Once, set up, they are easy to check out with any eyes. A very nice, and useful device.

As a recorder that creates a separate file for each input this recorder does all I wanted it to do. In practice, though, Dr Dimenta's (5/26/18) review is spot on in that access to the SD card/battery is iffy and the display shows 1&2 and 3&4 as active even if only one input for each set is connected. Without a Solo button the monitoring is very difficult. I'm using it as a two-track/two-file recorder with inputs to 1 and 3 most of the time.

A couple years back, I got a very popular 8 track recorder and ended up putting up for auction just a few months later. I just want to hear how I sound doing rhythm, lead, and bass in my home. I don't want a 150 page manual that requires weeks of study to get proficient at. Enter the Zoom H1n. It doesn't get any simpler than this. Just arrow to the file you want to overdub, hold down the play button while hitting record, and you're off and running. When you hit stop, it automatically saves the overdubbed file as a new one. Perfect for those of us that have no aspirations of becoming a recording engineer. You can even adjust the input level prior to your project to balanced the sound. I send my files from my computer to my receiver via bluetooth and the sound is pretty decent too. The H1n is just what I needed!

I received the TASCAM DR-05X Audio Recorder the day after I ordered it online. This recorder produces high quality, great sounding audio in a .wav file which can be easily converted to .mp3 file to conserve file size. The relatively compact size is a plus. It works exactly as I hoped it would for my purposes.
