I really like this headset I did want to compare the virtual surround on these and my razer thresher ultimate headset when it came to gaming with them The Philips Fidelio X2HR sounded good but there are some sounds that can not be picked up when gaming as I have heard and seen in some youtube reviews that have said otherwise The sound is great on the Philips Fidelio X2HR for gaming But there just better for thrasher music and heavy bass They really kick I highly recommend these 5 |

Very good headphones, excellent sonic qualities. I find the clarity to be superb, and the comfort is quite good, too. Highly recommended. Price is reasonable, too. 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Razer-BlackShark V2SE is an awesome set of headphones to have for your gaming needs. They are comfortable and light with great noise cancellation. Razers new design allows for individual tuning of highs, mids and lows. Love that they are a multi-platform wired headset for Esports. And they come with a carrying case designed for travel with pockets for added storage. 5 |

As most of you have noticed by now, it's extremely difficult to find software drivers in an audio interface that also work with 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound in Windows. Focusrite makes awesome drivers for Windows that work in both ASIO and WDM. I previously fought for over two years with an expensive Antelope Discreet 8 Synergy Core interface. Antelope's drivers on Windows are slow and unreliable AND they do not work in any way for 5.1 surround setups outside of the DAW. I consulted with the Antelope audio engineers and they said that their drivers will not work for 5.1 games or movies. I'm never buying another Antelope interface ever again! The Antelope hardware is great, but the drivers are garbage for Windows users. There's a night and day different between Antelope's drivers and Focusrite's drivers in Windows. The Focusrite Control software also searches and handles any firmware updates automatically. After you install the Focusrite Control drivers, in you Windows Sound options you can click on the Focusrite USB driver and get a Configure button at the bottom. Clicking on that Configure button takes you to the Speaker Configuration where you have the following choices: Stereo, Quadraphonic, 5.1 Surround, and 7.1 Surround. From there any games you play that have 5.1 surround like, Alien Isolation, Division 2, Tome Raider, etc. will work perfectly! Also movies going through my Cyberlink Power DVD software sound amazing! By the way, for my setup, I'm running the Scarlet 18i20 3rd Gen, two Adam A77Xs and three Adam A7Xs (looking to also get an Adam Sub8 in the near future). So if you are a 5.1 sound junky like I am, and you want your DAW, your games, and your movies to run through your audio interface with reliable drivers that just work in Windows... then you'll want to stick with Focusrite! 5 |

I was setting up a new surround system and was wanting to move my surround speakers since the ones in the ceiling were hard to hear. I decided to mount the speakers behind the couch and point them at the side walls so the reflections were at ear level (one side is all windows so I couldnt mount the speakers). Found these stands that are 30 tall which is just right and built very well. I went with the steel version for the added stability and they are great. Easy to assemble and all tools required (allen hex) were included. The surround now sounds like it comes from the side walls, even though one side is windows. 5 |

I spent a long time looking into various 5.1 surround bass management solutions that would work with regular Windows audio as well as audio through a DAW for studio and game development use. There are various software solutions for each, but most would not give consistent results between Windows system and DAW audio. I started looking for either a bass management hardware unit (some add latency) or a surround controller with bass management (way more expensive than this sub), then came upon the few Genelec subwoofers which have built-in surround bass management. I only have a 5.1 surround system so I chose this sub, and am happy I did so. While the cost is higher than I would like, there aren't that many other subs that handle surround bass management, and it handles both bass management and LFE duties well. The manual is comprehensive, and there are little switches and a knob on the side that allow you to customize rolloff, boosts, power saving, 4 phases, and sensitivity. Noise floor is very low, and it pumps out enough oomph for my calibrated small home studio even with the largest rolloff as well as the lowest input sensitivity. I'm not using it to shake the house, but rather to hear the lowest frequencies correctly while mixing and listening to all kinds of stuff. It's also smaller than some other subs, and that's a plus for my room as well. I don't really have anything to complain about for this sub other than Genelec's pricing, but since there are few subs that handle surround bass management and I didn't find any cheaper than this, it is what it is. Great product. 5 |
