Wire Power Doorbell Camera

Love this security camera. I didn't want to have to hard wire power to a spot where I wanted to keep a eye on by my house and it was also out of a good Wi-Fi signal. The solar panel has kept it charged for the month that I've had it out so far. And the picture quality has been exceeding my expectations by far.

I replaced the power supply after the original wire broke.

LOVE. LOVE. LOVE. That the power converter is built in rather than another separate box with another separate wire.

Firstly it's a shame that Google still hasn't officially offered and supported the Google Nest Video Doorbell in Australia. Now that I have it, I can't understand technically why. Thankfully B&H Photo offer the product to us Aussies and the ordering and pricing was fantastic. In short, I couldn't be happier with the device. The install was straight forward and the responsiveness of receiving alerts is with a second or two. Following are some other points others might find useful. - i didn't have an existing doorbell. I only had a CAT6 cable running to the doorbell. I am using a 24V AC 1AMP power supply located approx 20m away to power the doorbell over 2 pairs of the CAT6 cable. No issues whatsover. - My cable was already approx 1500 high off the ground which unfortunately is a little too high to see the ground in the video. - I don't have a chime. I am using the Google minis around the home to announce visitors and it works great. - The AI of Nest aware subscription is awesome. Love that it recognises faces and announces them. It also detects a parcel being delivered and also the parcel being collected. Worth the extra subscription fee. - 2 way audio communication is loud and clear. Video resolution is also great. So as you can probably pickup I am really happy with it. Thanks again to BH Photo for providing a trustworthy and reliable service to your international customers.

My Circle View Doorbell is an asset more than an accessory. I’ve never understood the power of recording and human behavior until this device came into my life. The initial setup was straightforward. It wasn’t that big of a deal to install, as long as you followed the simple instructions found on the website. It’s quality has gotten numerous of compliments from curious neighbors. Lastly, the packaging is exactly how I’d expect an Apple ecosystem’s device.

Great product. Plugs in any outlet for power. Makes my Lorex wired doorbell something I can hear inside. I used customer support to get it set up because the instructions didn’t have any troubleshooting tips. After a simple tip to reset the chime, support guided me through an easy set up. I’m very happy with both the doorbell and chime from Lorex.

Its a typically well-thought-out Nest product.   If you already have any other Nest items in your home and youre looking for a video doorbell, this unit is an utter no-brainer.  It tucks right into the Nest ecosystem and is accessible through the same app you already use on your phone. If you dont already have other Nest items in your house, its still a great product. It does everything youd expect or want a video doorbell to do. This is a wired unit and runs off of your dwellings doorbell power supply.  IMHO, thats better than relying on batteries to power a device you may find yourself checking continuously, however, there can be differences from home to home in how the doorbell is wired as well as the voltage supplied at the door.  Id suggest running Nests compatibility checker: https://nest.com/works/ Installation?  If you can follow directions, you can have this thing running within an hour.

Video and audio quality is great, as is build quality. Camera control through the Nest app is straight forward and facial recognition works really well. Having the doorbell notify all my Google/Nest Home speakers was one of my main reason for not seriously looking at other doorbells. My only small gripe is I don't have an existing powered doorbell and it took a little bit of work to figure out how to best provide power as I'm in Australia and can't use the US power supply. In the end I purchased a 24VAC 1A adaptor which works fine.
