Wired Vs Wireless Backup Camera Systems

I use these devices to connect to PA boards when recording concerts. It's the best way to use wired and wireless microphones in addition to my own, without cluttering the stage with extra cables. May of these systems are plagued with ground loops which introduce hum to both systems when connected. These transformers provide nearly perfect isolation with unity gain. Their small and relatively inexpensive. The frequency response is more than adequate, considering the types of microphones generally employed. 5 |

As a rental house in Miami, i was tired of sending back to repair on camera monitors, wireless follow focus systems, wireless video tx, etc.. I bought 4 safetaps to "test" ..used them on my Teradek systems and they dont broke no more... After that experience , I order 14 more safetap and now they are the default D-Tap connector at my shop. They look a little expensive but I spent the same amount of money of one tap "just in shipping charges" when sent some equip to repair. All the Ac's really love them. Highly RECOMMENDED. if your wireless unit fails you, this is your backup. 5 |

I’ve used this remote both as a wireless remote shutter control in my camera’s hot show, and also as a wired shutter control. In both scenarios it works great, allowing me to activate the autofocus and the shutter without the camera shake that I would get from having my hands on the camera body. I highly recommend this for any type of shoot where sensitivity to camera shake is an issue. 5 |

I bought this to replace a vello wired remote that did not work reliably. I use the remote when shooting photos with camera on tripod where I do not want any vibration from tripping the camera. I like the wireless better because there is no wire attached to the camera to keep up with when moving the camera. Having a wire plugged into the mini USB on the camera under these conditions risks damaging the connection on the camera. To use the wireless remote with the D7200 and perhaps other bodies you must set the menu in the camera to recognize the remote. Otherwise it will not work at all with the default setting in the camera. See the camera instruction book for more information 5 |

I've used both a wired and wireless remote for my Canon Rebel T6i camera, and the wired version is very reliable. It also has a setting for longer exposures, so that will be useful in conjunction with my telescope for night sky photography. Thanks to the staff at B&H for their professional guidance and courtesy. 5 |

Functions as advertised. I wanted the wired remote since it works when you're behind the camera unlike the wireless version. I use it for low light shots on a tripod. Very simple to use. Nothing fancy. Works great. 5 |

I bought this item as part of the Canon Rebel T3i basic accessory kit and I am absolutely impressed by the quality of the remote pack. The receiver has a handy shoe mount to keep everything organized on the camera end and I've noticed that the wireless remote has a good range. It is fantastic to be able to trigger the shutter from any angle around the camera and not have to rely on the infrared sensor, as would be necessary with one of Canon's proprietary wireless remotes. The wired setup has also proved useful. Whether I'm using it for wired or wireless purposes, my photography has been all the more successful as I don't have to fumble around with the camera to take the perfect shot. My only complaint is that the shoe mount on the receiver is plastic. It seems like it might break over time. Thankfully, that wouldn't impact the functionality of the remote set in any way, but it would be much greater to have a metal shoe mount. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with this product and highly recommend it to anyone with a Canon DSLR in their repertoire. 5 |

Works just as described. Plugs into the a7r / a7rII and allows wired or wireless camera firing with a transmitter (not included). I was able to use PW II's to fire the camera, but not get the 1/2 press for focus. However, using the Vello remote allows for the 1/2 press and focus before shooting. 5 |
