Wireless Backup Camera Red Wire To Green

The NAS / Red series is much better suited for RAID, than the old Green series.  I use them as Intel RAID1 as backup disks to an SSD for the system volume.  This lets the physical drives spin down in a 24x7 environment when they are not being used. The WD Data Lifeguard tools are effective and work well. I buy these for myself and clients, based on price. I have very few WD disk failures, compared to the high number of Seagates that I see.

Works great just by plugging it into the camera - very responsive. The Recording light Green = ready / Red = recording is a very useful addition

What is cyan? Is it blue? Or green? Actually, is it the opposite of red. Subtractive. Go Red, take away cyan

Once I learned that the receiver has to be connected via the wire to the camera and did that, the wireless trigger worked flawlessly with my Sony alpha M3.  Thanks to B&H technical support for the assistance and explanation.

I bought this to replace a vello wired remote that did not work reliably. I use the remote when shooting photos with camera on tripod where I do not want any vibration from tripping the camera. I like the wireless better because there is no wire attached to the camera to keep up with when moving the camera. Having a wire plugged into the mini USB on the camera under these conditions risks damaging the connection on the camera. To use the wireless remote with the D7200 and perhaps other bodies you must set the menu in the camera to recognize the remote. Otherwise it will not work at all with the default setting in the camera. See the camera instruction book for more information

I recently purchased this remote because the wire in my old one got damaged in my camera bag and no longer worked. The FreeWave Wireless Remote is EXTREMELY DURABLE, easy to use and overall a great product! I would recommend this to anyone looking to buy a wireless remote for your Canon :-)
