Wireless Ethernet Connection To Router

Great purchase for an older PC for wireless connection to the new router.

Does exactly what it says: provides ethernet and power to a Mevo Start via a USB-C connection. It works well with our Ubiquiti POE router. You can turn the Mevo Start on remotely by disconnecting the cable from the router and plugging it back in again, or by disabling and enabling the port in the router settings.

I have always been a Netgear user but a friend suggested I assess this product, given my spec preferences. The phone app is good to make the initial setup. The Web interface is significantly better for those of us interested in security and technical detail. I found all that I needed in the Web interface. One amusing fact is that no "user manual" is available for this product, only a "quick start" manual. Yes, there is a YouTube channel, but none really dedicated to this product line. I find that inexcusable. For those of us with home networks that are Ethernet and wireless, the Ethernet backhaul seems to require a home run from the router to the mesh satellite rather than an Ethernet connection through a switch. I say that because the Web interface doesn't recognize that the mesh node is connected to the router via the mesh node's Wan port to the router's LAN port. Other than these comments, I am enjoying a multi-gig connection to my fiber provider's multi-gig service.

I have four of these, configured as access points. That means I have an ethernet cable connecting each to my router. It provides outstanding WiFi coverage to the rooms these are in. The 5G network in particular is crazy fast; I get 500+ mbps/s on my phone. I generally don't recommend extender mode, in which these units relay your phone's wireless signal to the router, via another wireless signal.

I had a very specific application that I wanted to use this printer for. I use in an office that for privacy reasons cannot have a wireless Internet connection. Physically a corded connection was not at all convenient. It was also difficult to plug in, so it needed to be able to work off a battery for extended periods of time. In this office my only Internet connection is a wired, Ethernet connection. This little printer fits in a tight space. I goes all day for me without needing a charge. I can program it to shut down after so many minutes of inactivity, which significantly impacts the battery life. Then I can print to it tirelessly without a wireless connection using direct Wi-Fi all while not impacting my Ethernet connection. I love that it is full function. I did a lot of research before I bought it. I was a little concerned that it would meet my somewhat unique and specific needs, but I could not be more pleased with it.

I had an old D-Link router that began to have issues with its wireless connections throughout my house, so I figured it was time for a new router. Decided to try the Nighthawk AX4 AX3000 since it was a new model, was on sale and had good reviews. Setting up the router was super easy, barely an inconvenience, via the phone app and the instructions provided. Even my old AVR has its wireless connection back after having lost it for over a year. I initially had issues with the Ethernet connection to my desktop computer which is an old HP, but it seems to has resolved itself lately. The signal strength is still a little weak in my master bedroom and in the kitchen, but I am still able to connect without dropping the signal. So far, so good!

Got this router in hopes of improving our connection with the Starlink router and have to say was pleasantly surprised how much it helped stabilize the connection for both wireless and wired. The range of the wireless signal is amazing I can be almost any place in my house (2 story house with some brick walls) and have full bars with my phone connected. Another thing that is great about this router is how cool it runs during heavy use from downloads or streaming.

We use these for our timeclocks that are not wifi but have an ethernet cable connection. Works well.
