Wireless Front Door Camera Without Doorbell

Brilliant "smart" doorbell. Initially I wanted an outdoor camera at my front door, but the Nest Hello's image quality made it a perfect alternative, plus you get all the added benefits of a smart doorbell. Set up is a little more involved but easy with the instructions. The app is intuitive and powerful. A Nest Aware subscription is a must however.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We're quite pleased with the Ring Video Doorbell. Out of the box, the Ring app did most of the work to set up the device with our WiFi network. Before we knew it, we were able to see, listen, and speak at our front door. We are especially happy to see the unit is provided with a rechargeable battery pack (no running out of batteries or searching for that obscure battery size) and an interchangeable bottom cover. We were also able to quickly integrate the Ring with our Alexa system; the Ring doorbell announces throughout the Alexa system when somebody is at the front door. We're really impressed with the Ring Video Doorbell and highly recommend it.

Had a doorbell that was perpendicular to front door. The wedges worked great to turn it enough to get full view of porch. Also like the smart detection so I can shut off vehicle alerts if someone is just driving by.

Added this third Deco X55 to better service the wireless doorbell and surveillance floodlight at front of house. Really like this mesh system and the ease of adding additional access points. The system also balances itself for optimum strength and seamless roaming.

I had installed my door camera and hooked it up to my existing doorbell. The doorbell worked only half the time and caused the chime box to hum. I ordered the Lorex chime box to see if that would work better and it did. Easy to set up and works every time. Lots of odd chime options, but at least there are choices. I would recommend it if you are having issues with your existing chime not working properly.

You install the doorbell/camera mount on the door frame and plug in the Box it comes with. Then installed the app on your phone. Camera is super clear. Sends alerts to your phone when it detects movement. I feel so much better knowing if someone is coming near my front door, even if it is my husband or I walking by it. Hoping this will hope with missing packages. But I feel confident it will.

I used to have the competitors version. If the person coming to your door was quick enough, they could ring the doorbell and get out of the way before the camera kicked in. This defeated the purpose. With Nest's recording active all the time, this no longer happens. No more mystery rings or deliveries. Installation was really straightforward.

Without this all the weight will be in the front but this makes it equals and it fits better

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am VERY pleased with this product for a number of reasons. 1. SETUP - This company makes installing and setting up the device incredibly easy. If you know how to use a screwdriver and turn off power to your existing doorbell, you can install this camera. The app walks you through the installation step by step. BONUS, they gave me multiple (optional) mounting wedges that either allow you to point the camera slightly down at an angle or slightly to the side (for home that don't have a front facing doorbell like mine!) 2. VIDEO/SOUND QUALITY - the quality of the video is great! I don't know if it depends on your internet speed, but mine is very clear and doesn't lag. I have spoken with people that are at my front door both while I am in my house and when I am in another state! Very cool. 3. CUSTOMIZATION - I love the fact that you can set different modes (HOME/AWAY) and that you can turn off certain motion zones and adjust sensitivity. It reduces the number of "false alarms" while making sure you are always alerted when someone approaches your home. Overall, I recommend this product to EVERYONE and I will be purchasing more cameras.

I used this filter to take silhouette pictures with the sun in front of me. Without this filter I wouldn't have been able to do it.
