I needed this for the RODE Wireless GO 2 system (to output audio through USB and use the 1/8th jack to monitor the audio signal.) The price is high, but it's the only one I could find online. 5 |

These came with the Sony wireless lav set I bought quite a few years ago, and I decided to replace the mics with fresh ones when I noted that the wire was beginning to break where it goes into the jack. I briefly considered going with a less expensive alternative, but only briefly, as I realized the sound quality of these Sonys, along with the locking jack, make the cost well worth it. I need to do no audio sweetening in post - just paste the clip and go! You do need to be gentle when handling these to prevent the wires from being damaged (i'd love it Sony would somehow reinforce where the wire enters the jack), but i suspect that's the case with any lav mic. 5 |

This allows me to use by pro-level mics with the iPad. Works especially well with my wireless Sennheiser lav. The second jack is for headphones. The only issue is that you cannot monitor the audio while recording so you need to do a test recording first, listen to it, then make necessary adjustments. Once you're happy with the sound just go ahead and record the actual clip. 5 |

My headphone jack was broken on my admittedly old laptop. This enabled me to still use headphones for a small cost, and not replace the whole computer. I can also confirm that it works via a USB hub. 5 |
