I do interviews and podcasting. I am very fussy about audio quality. It is very convenient to have the mic on the headset. My larger broadcast mics seem to always be in my field of view of copy or computer monitor. The quality is great and your distance from the mic never changes, ensuring constant levals. 5 |

I'm constantly surprised by the quality of this machine. currently its my main recorder for podcasting and it lives as a backup mixer kit for my more pro kit. I'm mostly using it with shure mv-7 mics or a variety of zaxcom wireless and rode wireless go II's (yea, I know what you're thinking, big difference, all about knowing your gear's strength and weaknesses). AA's are worthless for this rig except for quick emergency, I use the sony np-f batteries and get a good half a day. my biggest complaint is the tolerance on the xlr release switches, some plugs can be kinda sticky. but this machine rips and I'm psyched to have it. 5 |
