Wireless Home Security Camera Systems Review

2024-09-07 06:55:58

We built a new home two months ago and made Ring our security systems. It is so easy to use through out phones. We love to be able to check our door bell camera and back yard security camera when we are away. We live in a fairly seclude area now and the cameras and overall security the system offers us is very reasurring.

I like the Lorex systems for self control of my security. Battery powered wireless systems are easy to install and maintain. Not tied to a paid service. Thumbs up.

i needed up update our wifi for both speed and security. whether with an AC plug or POE, these wireless systems just work great. but then i expect that from netgear.

This is much better than the systems I had previously (Google WiFi, Linksys Velop, Netgear Orbi). I have an old 1940’s home filled will plaster walls and the Netgear Orbi AC3000 version 1 was the best at sending 2.4 and 5GHz through the walls. While the other systems lacked the horsepower to get through the plaster walls. The Netgear just worked but I did not have much to tinkering plus the security on it was terrible. If you wanted internet security you would have to pay a monthly subscription fee for Armour. The UDM is great I can create multiple virtual WLAN (home automations, TV, laptop/mobile devices, etc). Each vLAN is separate so they don’t fight for WiFi space. The one UDM covers my 1200sq ft plaster walled home with secure WiFi and if I need more I could add an access point. The fact that the 4 port switch is managed is a plus. Being able to turn on/off those 4 ports makes it even more secure. Just hope that Ubiquiti continues to support this little diamond of a product with FW updates. I can see the UDM being able to do so much more. A lot is the software is in Beta and some in Alpha stage. Hopefully one day (SOON) it will be in full production mode.

I have 2 Lorex security camera systems (NVR and Hub) installed and both work excellently.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first home security system and I am loving it! The quality (both sound and video) is exceptional. I love that I can speak into the camera to my cat. Turning the camera and adjusting the angles is simple, too. I am pleasantly surprised with how well the quality is at night, also. The ability to record when I want is nice, and also I love the motion/noise detector. I feel much more secure now.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think ecobee products are pretty awesome. We were looking for a home camera/security system and so far these are exceeding our expectations. The sound quality is loud enough but not overbearing. Speakers on the camera provide adequate and clear sound. Camera quality is awesome. You can zoom and even track people which is really convenient. Door sensors are an added security which give us peace of mind and they’re not in your face which make it less noticeable. It’s super easy to setup and I didn’t run into any connection issues like I have in the past with other brands. I highly recommend these Ecobee products to everyone in the market for a home camera/security.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ecobee makes a wicked-good smart thermostat—one that doesn’t require an “optional” subscription to get the most benefit. The Ecobee SmartCamera has some really great features, too, but a security camera that can’t preserve forensic evidence of a crime—unless you’re willing to pay a monthly fee—just isn’t a good home security value. A security camera with a built-in siren is a great idea, too, but it won’t be very effective at deterring an intruder if it only operates when you push a button on your smartphone. Ecobee does get a thumbs-up for its privacy considerations: The Autopilot feature that turns the camera off when you’re home, and on when you leave, is an excellent feature. Integrating an Alexa-powered smart speaker was a good decision, too. But there are so many security cameras that are better than this one, even if they aren’t also smart speakers.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was thrilled to get this camera from Influenster to try out. I primarily use this on baby monitor mode because I live in an upper floor apartment, so home invasions are not a big security concern. The camera and app are very easy to set up and use. The design is intuitive. I mostly use this to keep an eye on my dog when I’m out of the home, and it works great! The ability to pan and zoom is awesome. I wish there were ways to turn it off/disable it temporarily when I’m at home, but perhaps I haven’t looked hard enough for that info? I’m not sure I’ll keep using this after the trial since home security is not a huge concern, but I’m grateful for the opportunity to test this Ecobee product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used the ecobee security camera as a backdoor camera in my home. we have another security device at the door and didn't want to disconnect that to set it up. The setup was easy and seamless. I would continue to use this as a backdoor security camera in the future so that me and my family feel safe.
