Wireless Mesh Router System

Replaced a 6 year old linksys wireless router with this unit. My first time with a mesh system. Setup was very easy. All devices connected quickly. Internet throughput is so much better with this unit. I am using Verizon 5G home internet with this router. Getting nearly 300 mbps download consistently. I get a strong wifi signal all over my house (3300 sq ft) and outside. I am very happy with this unit. 5 |

I've gotten this router not only for home but also for the worksite where I work (church). This combined with a mesh system makes for one very powerful and functional wireless network for usage. It is costly but worth every penny compared to all the others out there. Buy or buy not. If you chose not, good luck on your wireless routing. If you choose yes, be prepared to have a very NICE wireless router. And yes, it even comes with all kinds of Unicorn Poop (LEDs) for those who love to have color options too. 5 |

Great coverage everywhere. Mesh units work great, it’s like standing beside your wireless router! 5 |

The ORBI Mesh system is the best available. I have a router plus 2 satellites in large house. Great coverage everywhere. 5 |

Synology makes setting up this mesh router fairly simple. Power it on next to your router, use the DS router app and you're up and running in about 15 minutes. I have four of them and they are all wired. So make sure you follow the instructions and connect it wirelessly to the router first, then take it where you want on the network and plug it in. The ability to add a dozen of the MR2200's to my router means that I can create a reliable and fast wireless network that rivals my wired network in terms of square footage and then go beyond the building. My wireless devices automatically drop and connect as I move around. I could not be happier with this device because it is reliable and the range meets all my needs. I have no complaints from my network users. 5 |

I upgraded to the Nest Wifi Mesh Router (4 routers, 1 point) system from Netgear Orbi (1 router, 2 satellites) because the Orbi signal was not reaching all the way to through my new, bigger home and outside cameras. My new setup has drastically improved everything! The 5 Nest units were less expensive than if I exchanged out the old Orbi for their new system. 5 |

Wanted a new mesh system for the house after old router finally bit the dust. After some research and returning another mesh router I bought the XT9. The first mesh system I had had slow performance given my 1GB connection. It would average around 400mb. After buying the XT9 I was averaging between 700 and 800mb. Set up was easy. 5 |

I have had ASUS routers in the past. Never had an issue with setup or performance. This new router mesh system reflects the same performance level. No black out areas on 4 levels. 5 |

Had to change to this router after we got RCN, and it was a really simple switch over. We use a TP Deco mesh system and this router and have a solid signal throughout our two-story condo. 5 |

There's so much good to say about this Synology Router Kit and I have said it in other places. The greatest parts this system works in harmony and is a good solution for a big home or small business system. The software makes controlling user access and content restrictions really easy and it is powerful. But here is what would take this system to the next level: - Update to the latest Wi-FI 6 Standard (this is coming for the router with a new model later in 2022) - Make the Mesh parts able to work with POE (Power over Ethernet) so they don't require a separate power brick - Better mounting options for the Mesh part so it can easily be hung on a wall or from a ceiling None of these things are deal killers but they do factor in if you care about the overall implementation in the best way possible. To get that level of integration, you will need to look towards something like the Ubiquiti UniFi system but that system is overkill for most home and small business situations. As is, this mesh router working in conjunction with the RT 2600 AC is the best way to get close to a robust business level wi-fi application in a reasonable and affordable package. 5 |
