I use the Sony UWP-D11 Wireless Microphone System (purchased from B & H) for sending audio to my HD camcorder for weddings, meetings and events. One of the hidden features of this very intelligently-designed microphone system is that the MICROPHONE input on the transmitter can be switched to a LINE input. This allows you to take the XLR balanced line output of a mixing board receiving inputs from multiple microphones and transmit that audio mix wirelessly to your camcorder. This adapter lets you make that connection quickly, easily and reliably. Very handy!

I am using this for recording audio for video. Needless to say that you wouldn't get a decent audio through your on-board camcorder microphone. The problem with wired microphones are actually the wires. This is a compact system that operates on 9 volt standard batteries and comes with all the necessary connectors and cables, including a mono to stereo cable so that you can connect it to your camcorder's stereo mic input. The sound quality is good. Overall, well made, well priced and no complains.

I put considerable research into this purchase, and have been very pleased with it thus far. I was looking for a camcorder that made great video out of the box in full-auto mode, but also had professional features available that I can begin to use as I become more familiar and comfortable with them. I've been using this mostly for recording my kids' hockey games, and for that it's done a superb job. I haven't shot any 4K video because I don't have a 4K tv to view it on, so I can't make any comments about that. I can say this a great camera to shoot hockey games with at 1080p 60fps. The image quality (particularly the color) is much better than I've been used to with my Sony Handycam. One of the few complaints I have about the camera in full auto, is that the image becomes noticeably darker as you zoom in. This was not unexpected, as it was mentioned in a number of video reviews, but is still quite noticeable. I'm expecting a back-ordered external microphone at some point, and that will make an excellent addition, as the internal microphone does a fantastic job of picking up mechanical sounds from within the camcorder, and sounds of the camcorder being handled in general. It's kindof annoying, but I understand that the external microphone solves that problem nicely. Overall, this has been a wonderful thus far, and is a great value for the price.

I use this for live concert recordings with video camcorder. I use it with Audio-Technica AT897 shotgun microphone and it works great.

If your looking of a well balanced solid stand this is the one. I use several of these stands for all my wireless microphone set-ups. on video shots in church and at graduation ceremonies. The are simple and get the job done and the build quality is great.

This is a great microphone to have for any video producer who doesn't have the funds for an expensive wireless microphone. I've already gotten my money's worth in the most recent video I produced. Great purchase.

I don't know much about this stuff but I record video on my iphone using the Rode Wireless Go and Rode Lavalier Go and my microphone would blow out sometimes when I talked louder. The rep at BH said this could fix that and give me slightly better sound quality. It seems to be doing exactly that as my mic isn't blowing out as hard as before.

I use this microphone with the UTX P1 transmitter (wireless)on a Sony Z5 video camera.No phantom power needed. Excellent for speeches recording, school plays etc. No hissing noise even when you boost the signal. Perform excellent on-camera as well
