I'm using this on the inside of a grand piano lid. The sound is awesome - so clear! Way better than the microphone I was using before. 5 |

I've been hunting a relatively inexpensive solution for our on-stage piano and this microphone has worked wonderfully! 5 |

Well made and easy to use microphone. Sound quality was great at a piano/voice recital I recorded. Only problem I have had is when leaving it on auto adjust, it starts out too loud for the first note or two before adjusting down. Of course manual level control could prevent this. Very good deal and a great mic for the money 5 |

This is an outstanding microphone for micing a closed lid on a grand piano. While we don't need a microphone to enhance the sound in the church sanctuary it is needed to supply sound to monitors and the streaming signal. We have been using the M40 for several years and when the old one failed we immediately purchase a new one. 5 |

I bought this ORTF Microphone for a Live Piano/ Oboe concert. Amongst some of the other top condensers I own it played a crucial role in picking up the Balance from the FOH in the Audience. It did an amazing job. I basically used it as my main mic and just filled in the Mix with some of my closer condensers. The recording was of a Piano/ Oboe concert with as many as 12 oboist playing at once. It was quiet, Smooth yet Silky on the top. I thought about the Schoeps but for a 20th of the price I cant see how I could be any happier 5 |

I have used this microphone as my go to piano mic for years. I bought this one as a spare. Less expensive than most of the competition and sounds just as good or better. 5 |

Without it, my a6000 recorded the piano sound as if it the piano is being played somewhere in a huge, but you are not sure where. With the microphone, you can tell it is directly in front of you. Highly recommended for a6000. I still need to try an record it in a huge room and with microphone angled out - pointing/covering at the piano. 5 |
