Wireless Powered Home Stereo Speakers

I was having difficulty understanding conversations with my stereo/powered woofer computer speakers so I thought a cheap pair of speakers might produce a brighter sound. I was right! These solved my problem and I can now hear voices much more clearly. 5 |

This is a truly useful item for setting up powered speakers on the road. Usually I place the powered speakers close to an outlet in the corner of the stage and/or hall. This 6' length is perfect for such a setting. In addition I use Alto wireless receivers to cut down on XLR cables - this multiple outlet allows me to power the speaker, the wireless receiver and a DJ light all at the same time. What's really cool is - when the speaker, or light or receiver is on, an LED indicator light lets you know something is turned on. When everything is turned off, the LED light goes off too. So I know when I've forgotten to turn of the speaker at the end of the night. This outlet is built tough and can take the abuse of the road - I highly recommend them for powered speakers! 5 |

I am a physicist. (energy physics not matter physics). I am also a sound engineer, coincidentally, the control of sound energy. This amp is VERY GOOD for bench testing audio control devices and speakers. The addition of an unbalanced input makes it very handy for typical bench tests. Because I am retired I also use commercial speakers for my home stereo system. Use of commercial speakers is much cheaper than consumer speaker products that, by and large, do Not provide full range audio despite deceitful specs claiming otherwise. The commercial speaker is also built to last and far more reliable than consumer designs. (will last decades under home stereo use... my last amp lasted 31 years... speakers are still going strong) I use this amp as my home stereo amp driving 1,200 watt rated commercial speakers that actually reproduce 20Hz. (actual amp power use rarely exceeds 75 watts peak and 25 watts average) In that unique use... the amp fan noise is detectable so I place it behind a glass paneled cabinet. Aside from fan noise, the amp performs very well and for the price is one of the best bargains there is. Keep in mind... the typical consumer stereo amp is Designed To Fail and the primary reason is.... no active fan cooling. (a flawed design that minimizes ambient noise) The amp provides plenty of dynamic headroom (nearly 6dB under typical home stereo use) and presents no excessive noise floor problems. I use a receiver with balanced XLR outputs, a balanced 31 band EQ to drive the amp and control volume. My speaker connections are Speakon. Bottom line... A very good simple amp for multiple purposes at a very good price. If you are an engineer who loves music and movies you will quickly recognize the wisdom of putting up with a bit of fan noise to achieve excellent performance and very long term reliability. 5 |

I have powered up my old Tannoy System 8 monitors in my home studio after using various powered speakers the past few years. This little Pyle amp makes them sound as good or better than my old Kenwood that pooped out 10 years ago. They have such good bass that I don't need a sub. I am pleasantly surprised by this inexpensive piece of gear. I even like the the blue light. Go Pyle! 5 |

This is a simple but solid solution for home studios. You can have 2 set of self powered speakers connected to switch in between to check your mixes. The mono, dim and mute buttons are very useful. Simple but very effective. 5 |

I bought these speakers to use for music in a stereo system, no home theater. These Signature Elite ES60s are amazing. They reproduce the mids and highs so clearly and spaciously, with accuracy and depth, but what is even more remarkable is the bass capability. I'm kind of an old-school stereophile, and generally adhered to the philosophy that in order to obtain truly deep and truly strong bass, you had to have huge cones, period. Whatever magic Polk has done with the combination of the drivers, the cabinet and the power port, it works spectacularly...prodigious bass, even without being augmented by turning up the bass control, utilizing the loudness feature or the "Dynanic Bass Expander" feature found on my very powerful and heavy top-of-the-line Onkyo TX-108 from 1988. I won't speak for a HT setup, but I can say that for music you will not require a subwoofer if you own a pair of these. I sit and listen to various types of music, and shake my head at just how superb the sound quality is that I'm experiencing from these gems, no bi-amping or bi-wiring. For this kind of sonic superiority at this price, it's a no-brainer. 5 |

I have a Sonos home theater system (Beam, Mini Sub, Sonos 1s') in my living room, and I had an unrelated stereo music setup in another room. I recently bought a turntable which I hooked up to my passive speakers and my older stereo receiver. So I bought the Sonos amp to replace the receiver. Beyond the expected Sonos connection I found an unexpected dramatic improvement in sound quality from my turntable/speakers. Now my stereo sounds great with my vinyl collection and can be played n my living room and anther room where I have additional Sonos speakers. Fantastic! The amp has also given me other benefits -- a TV connected to it via HDMI, IOS control, etc. Well worth the cost.... 5 |

I have an old bookshelf stereo system (3 CD player, cassette, and radio) at my summer home. The speakers still put out a beautiful sound so I connect the Bluetooth adapter and am now able to play music from my phone, iTunes, Pandora, etc. A terrific value! 5 |

Bought a pair of these for my kitchen's ceiling, they sound great playing stereo music, work great with my home stereo receiver, I chose these because of the smaller diameter size compared to other ceiling speakers designed for home use,the back cans actually are a must since I don't want insulation to get stuck on the woofer cones (for those speakers without back cans),anyway I can always brag about these are commercial grade or contractors grade when my relatives stop by! 5 |
