This is the third wireless shutter release that I have purchased in the past 18 months. This product appears at first to be a carbon copy of the first unit I purchased but this one is better because the on/off switch is designed to make it difficult to turn on inintentionally while being transported in my gadget bag. I have used the unit just a few times and it has worked perfectly. It has plenty of distance of operation. I purchaed it with the Panasonic electrical cable but the cable that was furnished with it appears to be identical. I am an amature photographer and my need for the unit is to take family pictures or other scenes where A) I might want to be in the picture or B) where I need to be sure the camera doesn't move as in slow shutter speed. It is hande for setting the camera on a tripod in a corner of a room where there is a party and I can just randomly fire away. 5 |

I use this as an offline backup device (backup and then place in a safe). without cooling I'm not sure I'd use this as a working disk. 5 |
