Wireless Printer Scanner For Chromebook

Great little copier, scanner, printer and Color! We set up the printer for wireless and was quite simple to set up printing and scan to e-mail

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This printer is an upgrade from my last printer. Having a scanner, being wireless and have cheaper ink is win for me. It was a pretty easy setup and it track how much ink is left and the printer has amazing quality pictures as well.

I've been using the brand new ET-3830 from Epson and I am extremely happy with the results I have been getting in my print outs. This is an incredibly powerful printer/scanner/copier and it's only made better with the addition of the Ecotank and wireless features. With this ecotank model I am able to add a huge amount of ink at once and I can just buy whatever refill is necessary in the future. The information says that the amount that comes with it is up to 2 years worth of ink and judging from the amount of usage and how little ink I have used I think that this is true. The flatbed scanner is really nice and has scanned some very detailed photographs at a great resolution for me. Not only that, you can use the copy and scan function right from the device itself. I love that I don't even need a device or computer to use this printer because of the large display it has. It's SO easy to use. This ease of use, setup and wireless features make this a great printer for anyone with a home office, or even just every day printing scanning and copying needs. The ecotank makes it just that much more useful that there are no longer any little cartridges that are needed. It is wonderful! I ordered the IX1300 after reading a lot of the reviews. I already had an IX500, but needed a second high speed scanner. I already had the IX500 working with my Chromebook so I figured adding the 1300 would be easy. It was not apparent or easy. A Chromebook is still new enough that installation is not necessarily a regular occurance. I ended up calling the Scansnap installation hotline. They were prompt and very helpful. After a little delving into seldom used settings and downloading a new software package we got it to work fine. The scanner itself works very well and takes up very little room on my desktop. I also plan to transport it from time to time as it is small and compact. I had to scan a 16 X 11 document. I tried using the IX500 document sleeve. The IX1300 has it's own so it wouldn't let me do that. However, just loading the document via the front slot worked fine with no sleeve needed. All it all a very nice package.

Perfect scanner for home office or small business - exactly what we needed. Some of the features that sets this scanner apart and very suitable for daily use is - (1) receipt scanning and integration with popular expense management software (reduces so much manual work and errors) (2) multiple paper size support so that small receipts to A4 printouts can be scanned in one go (3) feeding tray that makes scanning a breeze (unlike flatbed scanners where we needed to load documents one by one) and (4) duplex scanning - is a ultimate time saver for scanning two sided documents. Combined with paper tray, you can scan multiple page two sided documents in one go and do not have to go through merge operations like we had to with non-duplex capable scanners. On the "non functional" side, the scanner is zippy! It is quite fast at 600dpi. Another big convenience enhancer and time saver is its network capability where it sits on the network ready to scan. The fact that, instead of some kind of proprietary protocol it seems to follow network scanning standards. There are multiple advantages of this. First of all, I was able to setup using my iPhone instead of going through a full PC install and USB connector. Once wifi is setup on the device, I was able to scan documents from my PC, iPhone, Android device and even my Chromebook! For me, Chromebook compatibility was a pleasant surprise (photos attached). We have used scanners before that have a proprietary app and work on mobile devices, but this is the first scanner that simply was recognized and worked out of the box with a Chromebook that we use quite a bit.

Great printer and scanner!

It seems well-made my Chromebook looks comfy in it.

I recently purchased an Acer R !1 Chromebook and wanted a wireless Mouse to use with this product. I am not a big fan of track pads. The one on this computer works fine, but I wanted a mouse. It worked right out of the box once I inserted the USB dongle that communicated with the mouse. It scrolls well. Fits well in your hand. It is an excellent product. The price is right as well. You always know if B and H sells it it works!

I bought this to pair with a Chromebook. It works perfectly. I now own 3 wireless mice (2 Logitech M705s and this one), and I've found that there is no difference in performance between them. But there is a difference in price. I'd recommend this mouse to anyone needing an inexpensive wireless mouse.
