Wireless Router Pci Card

I recently had my internet provider to increase my speed (from 150mbps download to 330mbps). It turned out that my old Wi-Fi card that I had on my PC couldn't quite handle the speed even though it was rated that it can. I bought this card out of curiosity just to see if it was the PC that was causing the bottleneck and not the card. Once I installed it, the download transfer rate just about doubled compared to the old card. In fact, the speed is about the same I'm getting if I had the network cable connected directly from the modem to the PC Ethernet port itself. Anyway, I would advise anyone to first check their wireless router or wireless modem/router to see what Wi-Fi standard it uses. If you still using an old modem/router, this card will only go as fast as that set up allows it to. 5 |

I recently bought a dual band router from B&H but wasn't getting the internet speeds I had expected. I checked the built in wireless card on my laptop and discovered that is was a single band card. I found this dual band adapter at B&H and decided to order one. I ordered it Tuesday and it arrived today. With WIN 10 and using a USB 3.0 port, it was as simple as plug and play. I am now getting 3 times faster internet speeds and am very pleased with this device. The price is great as was the free shipping. I would definitely recommend this device for a home wireless network. 5 |

I ordered this Allegro USB 3.1-C type card because my PC was damaged during a no-warning fire safety power shut-off back in October here in California which caused a surge straight through my APC backup/surge protector. This resulted in a damaged front audio and USB port unit through the main switch to my computer case which connects directly to the motherboard. Therefore all the USB ports on the front of the case and on the back I/O of the motherboard became non-functional. This card, attached to the motherboard, bypasses the USB-C port on the back so that I can temporarily use it for USB-C connections until a new USB/audio/switch unit arrives from Germany for my Be Quiet! 800 case. Fortunately, it is still under warranty, and Be Quiet! offered to replace the unit free of charge. However, the Allegro card only works in PCI-E 3.0 or higher slots. It will NOT fit in PCI-E 16 express (the interface is too wide). I tried it in a PCI-E 2.0 slot and it will not function in it at all. Be sure that you have the right configuration or it will not work. It has two USB-C ports. Therefore, with the right cables, I am also able to route it to a four-port hub for other USB input needs such as thumb drives. This adapter is similar in writing speed to the original USB-C port on the I/O from the motherboard. This, with a four port USB 3.0 card connected to the PCI-E express gives me enough latitude to plug in all of my peripherals until final repairs are made. When that happens I will use it in another older PC build which does not have USB-C capability. I have tried it in that PC and it works very well and fast. 5 |

I had to buy this item because the Motherboard Ethernet connection gave out, The PCI card slots are already in USE, one for the sound and the other for the USB 2.0 4 + 1 card is how I wanted to connect to my home network, and the third PCI slot is used for additional SATA/IDE port to increase the Page file for the PC with Windows XP Pro. Windows balked that I had to reacivate it, as to pay for Windows 8, as that was NO DICE!! I had to reinstall Windows XP Pro myself in which case, I already had the DVD OF, bought and paid for. This adaptor is the second ome I bought, as this mad it possible to activate it on line very quickly after I got everything back to normal. Windows does not like too many hardware changes!!! The original Ethernet adaptor did not need the CD to install its drivers, but the NEW ONE did! It is a BOO! on this process, it culd be plug and play ONLY!!! 5 |

This PCI card was easy to install and easy to set up. Make sure you reboot before testing the card. Works very well. Download results are the same as my Mac Studio. 5 |

Can't believe this 10G PCI card bringing such amazing speed to my old Asus MB, all I need is to install the Asus driver and restart. Works like a charm, best investment for win10 in years. 5 |

I've got a Mac Pro (Late 2013) and using an external Thunderbolt 2 to PCI add on. I wanted to connect my Mac to 10GBe, but needed a supported card (from Mac OS X - Montery). This card works out of the box in that situation (the other version with just a SFP+ socket should work as well, I just went with this on since is was $50 cheaper at the time). You need the low profile bracket but it should come with one (mine was missing, but the manufacturer sent a replacement). It's working great!! 5 |

Moving from my on board RAID controller to a dedicated card was a game changer. Using my motherboard in RAID 0 had no problem with Sequential reads/writes, but the random reads were painfully slow. I moved to a PCI riser card (Gigabytes Aorus) so I could have more drives and a possible bonus of the bifurcated PCI lanes would be a bit quicker. Same performance. I finally bit the bullet and picked up this card. It has been FLAWLESS. The random read performance is within spitting distance of a single drive. Absolutely thrilled with this setup. fwiw: Asus x399-e Gaming Threadripper 1950x 970 Evo Plus 1TB drives Now I just need to get PCI4 capable stuff together so I can really put it through its paces 5 |

I replaced another card reader with this one. I'd been having trouble getting the reader to mount. The problem appears to be with the PCI card I'm plugging into. Both card readers work fine in any other configuration other than when I'm plugged into the PCI card I'm using. Wish that the sales person would have taken the time to understand my problem. 5 |
