Great storage for security DVR.

My Flir DVR Security Camera system had a hard drive failure after several years. I got this as a replacement. Opened DVR Case, unplugged 2 cables on hard drive, removed 4 screws holding the drive, swapped out the old drive for the new and reversed order to put it back together. Formatted drive with DVR and my system is back up and running perfectly now!

I purchased this camera to run on a pc based security system called Bluecherry DVR. I was surprised to find out that a camera costing so little could provide such high quality. The camera was easily recognized by the system and functioned perfectly. The camera is well made and I will be purchasing more GeoVision IP cameras.

The problem was that the DVR I was using for my security cameras, though it was a different brand than my TV, it had the same code as the TV. So, when I changed TV channels, the DVR for the cameras changed the camera screen. The only solution was to purchase a new DVR. Problem solved with the Hikvision AcuSense iDS-7208HUHI-M2/S TurboHD 8-Channel DVR (No HDD).

Bought this UPS to protect a Security DVR System. It provides a continuous stream of pure regulated power affording maximum protection for the expensive surviellance system connected to it. The LCD display is a nice touch providing UPS & power status at a glance. Overall, I'm very pleased with all aspects of this unit!

I needed to connect an outdoor wireless security camera to Wifi but the signal on the main router wasn't strong enough to penetrate a thick masonry wall. The TP-link solved this problem. I set it up inside at the wall needing signal penetration but in line with the router. It worked perfectly - having a booster closer to the camera did the trick.

I normally don’t make reviews, but I thought someone should come in and defend the honor of this gadget after a couple less-than-stellar reviews. For a DSLR/Mirrorless shooter, this thing is a must-have. It’s just a supremely handy thing to have in your bag when you need it. When I’m shooting for the big screen, or need isolated audio tracks or phantom power, I’ll pull out my MixPre. But for simple web videos when that’s overkill (whether interview or run-n-gun b-roll), this thing’s great when you want to get 2 audio sources into the 3.5mm input on your camera. Obviously, there’s no pre-amps or phantom power, so I tend to only use with sources that have their own built-in preamps (like wireless mic receivers or a Røde videomic pro). I can lav up two subjects with my Sennheiser wireless mics and record each subject to a separate channel on my camera (on on the left, one on the right), which is amazing flexibility to have. Or I can run a wireless lav into one channel and my Røde Videomic Pro into the other and have that great lav/shotgun flexibility. All in all, can’t say enough good things about this device. Dollar-for-dollar, no device expands the audio capabilities of a DSLR/Mirrorless camera like this thing does. Just make sure you set your expectations right. And that means plugging in devices that boost their own signal.
