Wireless Security Camera That Push Notifications
Stuart P. | 2024-05-03 01:38:47 |
I am impressed with the video quality and the integration with the Lorex mobile app. Also very easy to setup. A few things to be aware of Motion detection is very sensitive! If the camera will have a viewpoint of a high or frequently trafficked area such as a roadway, the default motion spotlight will trigger way too often to be useful, so I recommend disabling it. Similarly, the vehicle detection is great, but again, a busy area can generate a LOT of push notifications from the app. My biggest 'missing feature': I wish you could tune push notifications to alert on certain TYPES of events like 'person detected' and 'animal detected', but exclude 'vehicle detected'. Instead, I'm forced to turn off notifications for this camera altogether. Overall I am very pleased and would recommend it to anyone. 5 |

Great security camera You can never be too safe and the security camera works great, has a great wide angle view without the overly excessive wide angle camera distortion, and it is super easy to set up. I have mine set up in the basement to view the back door but I hope to never get a notification on my phone that a person has been detected. It does work though. When testing, I got a notification of movement, I popped right into the Lorex app and saw it was just me thankfully. The resolution is great too. If you have more than 1 you can set it up to see all of them at one time. You can also set motion zones and sensitivity so you arent setting it off all the time and you can turn notifications off if youre in the area so you dont continually get notifications about you being in the area. I love that it provides all those features without needing a subscription. All the recording is right to the included micro SD card and runs off your WiFi for notifications. Also comes with mounting stuff but I just have mine on its base and it feels stable. Overall Great camera, simple to use, the app is easy to use, and I have some extra peace knowing I have an extra eye out at all times. 5 |

I needed to connect an outdoor wireless security camera to Wifi but the signal on the main router wasn't strong enough to penetrate a thick masonry wall. The TP-link solved this problem. I set it up inside at the wall needing signal penetration but in line with the router. It worked perfectly - having a booster closer to the camera did the trick. 5 |

Like it but for some reason can’t get notifications? 5 |

Works great. I like it better than the wireless remote because of the focus function on the button half-push. 5 |

So far this has been everything and more that I have looked for in a wireless remote. There is the push hold mode for bulb photos. The receiver works from a good ways away from the transmitter. It also attaches to the flash hot shoe. Very easy to sync and a battery is not needed when only the transmitter button is used. 5 |

The Connex wireless systems have worked perfectly for us. We use them for small, wireless cameras in a sports venue. It only has to push video around 400 feet, but it's in an area with lots of RF interference and around 12,000 people. We're running at 1080p with no frame drops. 5 |

Between the totally wireless play, the ability to cast to the TV with a push of a button and the exclusives, I'm really impressed with this thing. I don't know how they achieved the graphics on "Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy" on a portable device, and the ability to sideload developer apps was a blast to learn about after the fact. I've gotten hours of play out of this thing every other day and so far I'm definitely a satisfied buyer. I just hope my Facebook account doesn't get shut down by algorithms over something dumb and I lose all my games or something. That's truly the only downside to this thing, is the Facebook requirement and the unease that comes with that. Otherwise, it's an amazing piece of hardware. 5 |

I have the wireless remote but I purchased this one because it allows you to push the button half way down in order to focus. Very nice accessory. 5 |
