The R1C1 Wireless Close-Up Speedlight System allows you to totally own the light when shooting macros and close-ups. Doesn't matter what the sunlight is doing. They overpower the sun at close range - giving you luscious black and dark backgrounds so you don't need to perform digital magic in order for your subject to stand out. ISO 100, f/16, 1/200 second at 4 to 6 inches (10 - 15 cm) - no problem! Yes, a bit of weight at the far end of the macro lens - if you hand hold. This is a truly useful item for setting up powered speakers on the road. Usually I place the powered speakers close to an outlet in the corner of the stage and/or hall. This 6' length is perfect for such a setting. In addition I use Alto wireless receivers to cut down on XLR cables - this multiple outlet allows me to power the speaker, the wireless receiver and a DJ light all at the same time. What's really cool is - when the speaker, or light or receiver is on, an LED indicator light lets you know something is turned on. When everything is turned off, the LED light goes off too. So I know when I've forgotten to turn of the speaker at the end of the night. This outlet is built tough and can take the abuse of the road - I highly recommend them for powered speakers!

The Play:5 has been a revelation. Up until I bought it, I'd been using a number of AirPlay speakers. These suffered from two big problems: they were unreliable (the devices often wouldn't show in my list of speakers for reasons I could never fathom) and, more subtly, they played music from my phone itself. This meant if your phone died, no music. If you went out of range, no music. If you clicked a YouTube link, it would suddenly blare out of your speakers. But with Sonos, it's just worked from the moment I unboxed it. It sounds good, even in a large-ish room. The only problem is that I now want more dotted all through the house!

I am soooooo pleased with the Roku Wireless Speakers. I had a Sony 5 speaker surround sound system before and I replaced it with the wireless speakers. I am blown away! They sound so clean and crisp and they are WAY LOUDER than the Sony system. Setting them up is a breeze. It took less than 5 minutes. Also, the build quality is top notch! The speakers weigh over 4 pounds each! Weight is a good thing when it comes to speakers. I haven't always been a fan of Roku but over the last couple years they have really stepped up their game with the Roku smart TV's and now these speakers. I am in love with these!
