Wireless Video Computer Monitor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my Samsung M5 Smart Monitor! Ive had it for 2 years. I initially used it as a computer monitor, then hung it on the wall as a small TV, and now just recently I took it back down and pit it on my desk to use as a computer monitor! At 32" it preforms well at both, and happens to be very roomy as a desktop monitor! I love that it has miracast so you can use it for wireless DeX (found on S series phones & tablets to create a desktop expirence), you can also use as a wireless display for windows! I actually prefer HDMI so I can do HD content, music (on the amazing speakers), and have a very quick response time! Wireless it still happens to be very fast! This is not a touchscreen monitor, and I don't want it to be, it would not make much sense! Also this thing goes plenty bright, and has eye saver features. I like that you can download apps and use as a smart tv too. This also doubles as a smartthings hub if you are looking for that as a feature. Really I couldn't ask for anything more from a monitor!! Pros: Bright Large Smartthings hub Has miracast Tons of settings Smart TV too! Great Speakers! Cons: Only one I can think of, and it is that there seems to be a lack of customization features for the monitor UI, just something I noticed and it is a personal preference. This doesn't take away from my 5 stars, it wouldn't discourage me from buying a second one, it also wouldn't discourage me from telling anyone reading this review, DEFINITELY BUY THIS MONITOR TOTALLY WORTH IT!

Love the computer so far but never got the monitor.

Hollyland Mars 400s wireless video transmitter is perfect. Good range and simple controls. Really good for monitor use. In a switching setup there is some delay less than 100 milliseconds. Image quality is good, monitor with phone app to other wireless devices really cool. Makes a perfect monitor tool.

Using this as the base for a wireless video monitor station. A little heavy, but surprisingly stable. Portable size is not too large. Doesn't feel like it needs a sandbag for stability, but the layout allows for some extra peace of mind.

The Tx monitor is light enough to carry on a gimbal. The Rx monitor (directors monitor) has a perfect size for a small crew production. The battery life is almost 3 hours, it has cero latency, the wireless video transmission is instantaneously. The monitor has all SmallHD menu capabilities while the Teradek is all you need for a 500 feet wireless video. I use it with my gimbal and a Redrock follow focus. Very portable and easy to use.

Even with wireless video transmission becoming more integrated with monitors, I still prefer the modularity of the Wooden Camera directors monitor design. I can pair any wireless video receiver I want with whatever monitor I want. And when a better version comes out I can swap one of the elements. The handles are sturdier than the SmallHD monitor handles (though do be sure to tighten the screws super tight or the handle can slip off) and the strap attaching at four spots is so much better than only two attaching on in the middle of the SmallHD ones. The back swing opens to have better access to receiver settings and cables that you can hide tidily once you close the door. I do wish the swing back opened without having to essentially completely unscrew one of the sides so much, but a small compromise. All in all Wooden Camera lives up to its reputation and the cage is super light which is great because the v-mount batteries definitely are not! A great directors monitor cage or base for an AC kit with wireless follow focus.

I bought this tool to help me mount a camera light on my computer monitor to brighten up the video on zoom calls.

This connector is all you need to connect a Mac mini M1 or any computer with a HDMI video out to a DVI monitor input, it's inexpensive and it works.

The monitor works as indicated. The only thing that was not mentioned was to use with my computer I had to use both HDMI and Video cables. Once I used them, the monitor worked perfectly. The touch is responsive.

1/17/2024 To ALL OF YOU I use this KanexPro 1x2 HDMI Splitter on the on-camera monitor on the monitor of the computer screen with a both HDMI cable from the NIKON D3200 DSLR camera's output to the front of an HDMI splitter to the on-camera monitor and the computer monitor, they are both work perfect, even there's NO problems AT ALL with them. This is my favorite hobby is audio/video post-production about making a film/video.
