Wireless Wifi Router For Laptop

I needed to connect an outdoor wireless security camera to Wifi but the signal on the main router wasn't strong enough to penetrate a thick masonry wall. The TP-link solved this problem. I set it up inside at the wall needing signal penetration but in line with the router. It worked perfectly - having a booster closer to the camera did the trick. 5 |

I got this to replace all of our wireless needs. I disabled wireless on our router and use this AP as our only source of wifi. The software is so amazing. We get better range and speeds in our home. Going to get the Ubiquiti USG and switch later. 5 |

I've been using TP Link for over 8 years now. Prior was using ASUS. I upgraded from Archer CX3200 to this router. This router has a single 2.4 and a single 5 ghz band, but it supports wifi6 which can output over 4200 MBS. First i connected this router to my laptop by ethernet cable. I then used my wifi on the laptop to download in sequence the TP Link firmware updates to my laptop. I then tuend off the wifi and connected by wire to the laptop. to do this easily, I assigned an IP4 address and gateway to my laptop ethernet adapter. The router by default is 192.168.0.1 The box contains the administrator username and password. I kept the router's wifi signals off. Next after logging in, I updated the firmware to the current level, assigned the fixed ip address and max addresses to the new router I was using on my old router. I set up the wifi network names and passwords, guest networks, checked the signal strengths and channels being used in my area and set my wifi to the clearest channel bands. I set up my vpn, firewalls, etc. I set my dns to my preferred public dns and I set up my DHCP server for the range I like. Then I set the router's ip address to 192.168.1.1, shut it down. disconnected my old router, shut down my cable modem, connected the new router, powered it up and then powered up my cable modem. Since my wifi network names and passwords were the same, my devices connected. Also, I enabled the UNP on this router and all of my devices with port forwarding worked well without a glitch. My phone connected at wifi6 band and downloaded at over 600 mbs 15 feet from the router. A big plus for this router is the ability to set up a VPN client and server and specify several VPN connections as well as which devices you want to always use the VPN to pass traffic. For the money, its fast and stable. 5 |

This lightweight and portable computer has made printing so much easier! With this printer having a completely wireless option i can print just about anywhere in the printers wifi reach. I sometimes have to print things when i am traveling and this has made my life so much easier because i can easily travel with it and print when needed. I have been using my laptop and cellphone to print documents have found them both to be simple to use use and connect together. After taking the printer out of the box the printer set up takes about 15 minutes at the most to completely set it up. At first the print must be plugged in to charge a bit and the ink cartridges must be inserted. Once the ink is in place the printer needs to run through a start up process that took about 3 minutes. When it was finished with the start up i was able to connect my laptop to the printer via wifi. Once it was connected i was able to begin printing right away. When the printer is charged it can be removed from the charger and run wireless. The LCD screen has many different menu options and connection options that allows you to view the details of the printers current status. This is a review for the Epson WorkForce WF-110 Wireless Inkjet Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. 5 |

We have a n router, not an AC standard router, but, compared to the adapter built into our relatively new laptop, the wireless download speed increased from about 20 Mbps to 36. Our hard wired service from Comcast into the router is about 85-90 Mbps so there is speed loss in wireless, but it's much less with this adapter than the one that is built into our Dell laptop. Plus, if we ever buy a new router, (and possible upgrade our Comcast internet service), we may be able to take advantage of the higher AC band speed. 5 |
