Wiring Center Channel Speaker With Other Speakers

I'm using 4 of these in my bedroom as the front and surround speakers along with the Klipsch RP-500C center channel speaker and two RP-140D speakers for the rear surround. Also have a R-112SW wireless subwoofer. Very happy with the result. It's like being at the theater.

This speaker is used as a center channel speaker in my home theatre system. I didn't have a center channel speaker before and was advised this is the most important speaker for a home theatre system - I don't think that is true when you have a good pair of front speakers that are properly calibrated. This added a bit to the overall sound and surround sound experience, but if I was broke, I could easily live without it. I found it hard to find speakers that were not too tall as I didn't want the speaker to block any of the TV screen. These fit perfectly with my setup. Finally, a center channel speaker that will not leave you wanting more and best of all you can turn off the closed captions! The DM30 is an amazing speaker, build quality is second to none, and the sound this speaker produces is the standard all center channel speakers should strive to achieve. My wife has described the vocals produced as being so lifelike that you would think the actors are in the room with you. This speaker actually outperforms most front channel speakers as you can see from my MultEQ-X measurements. You may think you really do not “need” a center channel speaker that can play down to 30Hz but once you experience it you will never go back. The range is needed to ensure whatever you throw at this work horse is handled with ease. Hearing deep voices in movies such as Venom, Bane, and Emperor Palpatine are life changing with this speaker. Everything comes to life! Definitely run a test with the Greatest Showman, the scene in the Opera Hall will take you and your viewers breath away once your system is configured correctly. The speaker is a bit larger than other center channels, but the size is worth what the speaker achieves. How many center channels have 3 8” subs built in? These subs will not replace your independent sub, but it adds body to vocals. When watching content, the speakers fade to the background due to black enclosure. This speaker was purchased to replace the CS9040. I can tell you with full confidence that even if you own the flagship center for the CS line and/or any other brand center channel, the DM30 will eat them for lunch and be ready for a snack in minutes any day of the week. If you can make it work do not think twice, just buy it, you will be happy.

I needed to buy a slimmer center channel speaker after buying a new entertainment center, so I got the Polk Signature Elite ES35 Slim Center Channel Speaker. Then I decided to go all-in and upgrade the rest of my old ELACs to Polk Signature speakers and I am glad I did. The sound difference is noticeable and much better in my opinion. I love the look of the curved walnut cabinets, too. There is also more bass in each of these speakers than my old ELAC towers. Five stars all the way. (I also got the Polk Signature Elite ES15 Bookshelf Speaker for my surrounds and those were great, too!)

These speakers plus the matching center channel speaker are the beginning of my HT 5.1 system . In addition I utilized an older Sony 10 subwoofer which provides great output. These speakers are highly recommended for a decent system.

They sound great! Wish there was a version that included a center channel. Other than that, these rock! Good value for the buck!

Even though I have experimented with stereo systems for almost 50 years, I had never bi-wired speakers until I recently purchased Bowers & Wilkins 603 floor-standing speakers. I was intrigued by their bi-wiring option that Crutchfield suggested could provide noticeable improvements in the overall transparency of your loudspeakers if I ran separate speaker wires to the low and high frequency drivers from a single amplifier. After doing some research, I discovered the Canare 4S11 bi-wire speaker cable at B&H. I don't claim to have golden ears, but I do want better sound at a reasonable price, so the Canare cables were interesting. However, I have to admit that to my eyes they looked sort of flimsy in the online picture, so I debated with myself about spending over $130 for two sets of 10-foot cables. Therefore, I was thrilled to discover that the two runs I ordered are not only substantial in diameter, they are professionally terminated with high quality banana cables that give me a tight fit into my vintage Audible Illusions S120 amplifier and my new B&Ws. While I can't tell you that the heavens opened and angelic choirs sang when I plugged them in, the speakers sound wonderful and I am now looking at upstream improvements in my system, including the RME ADA-2 DAC FS. My conclusion is that it only makes sense to bi-wire speakers if the speaker designer provides the option. So for me this was a great purchase. If you have speakers that offer the bi-wiring option, I highly recommending giving these a look.

I have this center channel with Reference series bookshelf speakers and subwoofer. Crystal clear sound especially the high notes. Love them
