Word Processor For Apple Computer

In switching to a new Apple computer with a processor 3x's faster than my old one, I couldn't afford an upgrade to the 4TB internal drive and instead went with the SanDisk PRO-G40. After running several Disk Speed Tests this is almost as fast as an internal Apple SSD and it cost less than half. Shipping as always from B&H was super fast and I couldn't be more pleased with this SSD. 5 |

Hi, we’re Apple. You should feel privileged we’re selling you this expensive computer that is two generations behind the latest processor. Oh, you want more than 128GB hard drive? Please give us your first born to upgrade. Like the title says, I love MacOS but hate Apple. If this was just running Win10, the hardware woulkd be considered out of date in spite of the new butterfly keyboard, which still feels cheap. 5 |

One of those things you need to have, but wish Apple would include with your computer. Works great. 5 |

The Apple 14 MacBook Pro with M2 Max processor has been fantastic so far. Nice keyboard and sound, sharp display, quick and long battery life. Compared to my old Macbook Pro 13 with an Intel processor, this machine runs circles around it and doesn't even need to be plugged into power to do it. I was a bit worried about compatibility with the ARM based processor and some of my software but everything I use has worked either natively or with Rosetta 2 which has been seamless. 5 |

I wanted to buy a Mac Mini, but my budget was limited. I finally decided on a model with a 6-core i5 processor, 8 GB of RAM, and a 256 GB SSD. The unit was on sale at B&H for $999, a saving of $100. The SSD size is fine--I can expand storage with the use of external SSDs, which are becoming increasingly affordable. I wanted more RAM, but that gets expensive at Apple's prices. Then, on checkout, B&H offered me 32 GB of RAM (to replace the existing 8 GB) for $128. That looked appealing, but, klutz that I am, I was unwilling to open up my new computer and try to install the RAM myself. Then I saw that B&H would install the RAM for me for $40. And, since their techs are Apple-certified, the installation would not void my Apple warranty. I went for it. Bottom line: I got a Mac Mini with a 6-core i5 processor, 32 GB of RAM, and a 256 GB SSD for $1167. A Mac Mini identically preconfigured by Apple would have cost me $1699. I saved $532 (31 percent). 5 |

I have been waiting for the new iMac machines for years. The first to offer the Apple M1 chip reflected design changes I don't appreciate. It appears Apple is obsessed with slim designs, at the expense of ports. The new iMac 24 loses the SD card reader. I wanted enough ports to have a desktop worth owning and came across the review of this 2020 iMac 27. It will be the last Intel iMac. This model has a host of upgrades, including the T2 Security Chip and expandable RAM. It has more ports and decent 500GB of SSD storage. I purchase the unit with 8GB of RAM and upgraded it to 64GB with memory purchase online at a fraction of the price Apple charges. The new processor Apple will be using in the future will not allow memory upgrades, because it's part of the processor, by design. I was not impressed with the physical design of the new 24 iMac, I actually prefer the older design. I could not be happier with my purchase! 5 |
