Words That Rhyme With Bass Guitar

Ideal if you play bass or guitar and sing. It gives you space from your instrument. 5 |

I tested the Rotel Tribute combo(amp&CD) vs Audiolab 6000 (amp&CD) combo. No doubt the Audiolab wins in terms of sound, I don't know all the fancy words to use in this comparison but in my simple language explanation its like this. The Audiolab sound is thicker fuller darker and most of all it has a 3D like feeling to the sound, by the Rotel it seams like the sound is flat on the wall in front of me, by the Audiolab the sound is away from the wall there is air between the instrument and the wall, so its more real experience. The bass is interesting because by the Rotel I can hear a bigger bass, but its nice in the beginning, later I felt its blocking some sound of the other instruments, in other words, its not as balanced the bass with the other sounds. By Audiolab the bass is not sticking out from the rest and I think its more tighter. so its either because the bass is not so boomy or because all the other sounds are punching out same strong as the bass. Anyway, its more pleasing to listen to because of that. from the other hand the Rotel has also a very special sound very detailed, another benefit it has tone controls(and a general sound booster), you can adjust the bass and the treble which makes it very convenient and takes away the problem mentioned above because u can boost the treble and or lower the bass. Still it doesn't give the 3D sound as the Audiolab. one more pro to the Audiolab CDT, you can make fast fwd the song by pressing long the go to next song button, you can NOT do it by the Rotel CD player, only with the Remote controller(very embarrassing). From the other hand a con to the Audiolab CDT, when you press the pause button, if you leave it more than a few minutes it goes back to beginning of the CD (I didn't find any setting to change that - very embarrassing). 5 |

Filters and step rings seem to stick with no rhyme or reason. I've used these filter wrenches a few times and they work quickly and effortlessly. The texture inside the wrenches grips filters and step rings equally well, but don't leave any marks. 5 |

Used once for powering guitar amp, powered monitor, pedal board, and bass amp on stage. Performed well and kept the hums at bay. Long cord legnth and good plug access. 5 |

I bought this mic on a whim. I have a large mic collection and find Cad mics hit or miss. They make some dull sounding entry level mics and some incredible sounding high end microphones. One thing: their mics tend to be incredibly tough. I'm a huge fan of the equitek line, so I figured I'd see what this mic was all about since it looks pretty cool. This mic is great, especially for the price. It sounds great on vocals, acoustic guitar, guitar and bass cabs, and piano. I briefly tried it out as a room mic for drums but found the top end a bit too harsh (horrible zbt cymbals), but I didn't get a chance to experiment much with placement, nor with switching cymbals out. I used the mic on a recent recording session I did for a metal band. Paired with a dynamic mic on a 2x15 bass cab about a foot away from the speaker, the cad e40 captured an absolutely killer bass sound. Punchy with just enough grit, and incredibly detailed sounding. It might be my go to mic for 15 inch speakers from now on. 5 |

This purchase replaced two of my 5 MKH8050's that went missing. They are great mics that there was no question I needed to replace. The Sennheiser MKH8050 (hypercardiod),and the other MKH mics, have a very smooth on and off-axis frequency response, are very quiet, and being RF condensers ( unlike almost all other condensers) are not affected by very humid conditions( no cracking/popping). I've used the MKH8050 on almost every instrument you can think off with outstanding sound: eg kick drum, bass/guitar amp, brass, woodwinds. acoustic guitar, banjo, violin/viola/cello/bass, kalimba, sitar, drum overhead, tabla, djembe, cajon, choir, classical style vocals ( mic'ed from few feet distance). Great for live sound and live recording. Rycote INV-3 are perfect shockmount clips to use with the 8050 ( and the 8040, 8020, 8090). I don't bother with the standard clips-esp. since the mics and the INV-3 shockmounts are very small and this is a bonus for video work. I don't do boom work but many write that this mic is one of the go-to choices for boom mics (esp indoors where off-axis pickup needs to be smooth). 5 |

I will be using this for recording vocals, instruments (bass, trumpet, guitar, sax) and synth (strings, piano, etc.). Having tried it on synth samples thus far, it adds a mellowing and pleasing analog feel to the recording quality. Excellent manufacturing and presentation. 5 |
