Work Profile Front Desk Executive

Very large, more for an executive style desk that is more than 3ft deep

I wanted this stool so I could get rid of the big executive chair I sit at my desk in. In a video shot, or still image, the chair itself takes up too much space. The stool telescopes to the desired height effortlessly.

Looked for a low-profile tripod for the desk to have my DSLR sitting underneath my screen as webcam with creamy bokeh. As long as I move the screw all the way to the back of the plate (having the plate as far forward as possible), this can hold my Canon 7D II with a Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 riding on it. Anything heavier wouldn't work. Having it off the ground with all three feet also doesn't work for a setup this heavy. I have the back foot flat and the front two angled to look at me.

I've had these for a few months now and I really love them. I like the flat profile and front porting makes a difference in my small work area. I'm not an audio pro, but these made a massive difference in my video editing and music listening experience.

I bought this recently, and it's working great. I am a work-from-home software developer and have been on a mission to improve my work setup. My main work machine is a 2018, 15-inch MacBook Pro. I recently added a third monitor, which along with the charging cable, occupied all the ports on the Mac. My wife also works from home now, so we upgraded our home network to include ethernet, a higher bandwidth Internet connection, which I could not take full advantage of with all my ports in use. Enter the dock... At present, I am driving two 1920x1200 WUXGA (i.e. not 4k) displays. One is on the DisplayPort and the other on Thunderbolt. This freed up two ports on the Mac, and a little desk space. Plus I can be on ethernet. As best as I can tell, the charging speed is exactly the same since my model Mac requires an 87-watt charger. I have also used the front USB-A to hook up external HDs all without issue. I have not yet used the front audio, SD, or USB-C port, nor have I used the remaining ports on the back. I'll update if I have issues. Despite the generally good reviews, I hesitated a little at first to buy this dock because I find it a little ugly in the pictures. Now that it's on my desk I do not find it all that bad. :-)

I have uses many other Wireless Radio units. For me these are the best I have used. I have 7 flex units along with this kit. I use them everywhere. Outside, on location Executive Portraits etc. I work for a Large Health Care Corp and travel to all of their over 50 locations and to photograph everything. Speedlights and these units are my main tools when it comes to lighting.

I use this for executive/business headshots. In an environment where you have to work fast the X Drop is a lifesaver. For years I've used 4ft seemless--it's so annoying and is always wrinkled and not to mention the fact that it's not as wide as the X Drop which is hugely helpful for tight spaces so that you can cover from frame edge to edge. Only 1 minor downside is the back leg of the tripod sticks out pretty far keeping you from putting it up against the wall. But I easily just collapse that leg and lean it or secure it on a stand to put it closer to the wall--Works JUST fine! LOVE how compact it is!
