I was very surprised at the quality of this lens. I needed a manual Focus lens and I comoareitho to my Sony 11 to 18 and it was every bit as sharp and faster. The focus is smooth and image shift is minamal for video. 5 |

I replaced a 18 to 200mm non-usm lens with this and so far, very happy. It's super quiet and fast to focus. The only thing to get used to is that when set to manual focus, you need to depress the button to get the manual focus to react since its electronic. Not a big deal, but different than a fully manual lens. Auto focus works as normal. 5 |

I had the same experience as several other reviewers ( I turned on the gimbal after properly balancing and the gimbal motors didn't move-despite the gimbals lighting up). This can be fixed by going into the app (something you really need to do anyway) and unpausing the gimbal motors. Works great after that. I really don't think 1 star reviews are acceptable just because you couldn't figure a product out. Yes, you have to do some research with these things because it doesn't come with an instruction manual, but so what? It's an incredible feature-packed tool at an incredible price. I'll take the lack of a printed manual any day (downloadable pdf manual is on the website) That being said, I'm using this with a GH5, metabones xl, and sigma 18-35. It balances fine, even with an extra quick release attached. Someone asked if the 18-35 would balance and a b&h staff member implied that it might not. That isn't true. It balances great. The GH5/18-35 combo also works with the focus nob right out of the box. Say what?! All you have to do is flip the switch on the side of the 18-35 to auto and the focus nob will control your lens...which I wasn't expecting, could not find any research on, and is absolutely better than it sounds. It's an amazing thing to witness. I'm coming from the ronin m and it's mind-blowing the amount of features this has by comparison, as well as a million other things it does better. It's quieter. The motors are super strong. It's smooth. Initial testing looks as smooth if not smoother than the m. It's also a ton easier to wield than the m. If battery life estimations hold true, it absolutely kills anything on the market right now. Yeah, it's heavy for sure, but it's very well built and feels extremely premium to hold. Plus, it's still lighter and much less of a workout than what I'm used to. Barring any unforeseen catastrophic failures in the future, this is by far the best gimbal on the market at the best price. 5 |

I prefer manual lens and do not us SLR glass since it is not parfocal. This lens is parfocal, low cost, sharp, smooth, light, 2.9, and 18-55 is perfect for a lot of my shooting. Just used on a two day job and with FS7 using SLOG which I always use. The results are stunning. If you own a FS7 buy it you won't be disappointed. Next for me is the 50-135 and the 18-110 for handheld work. Match those with my Dulcos 11-16PL and I have a great set. 5 |

I have been waiting for the Sony E Pz 18-110mm F/4 G Oss Lens since it was first announced at IBC. I have the FE PZ 28-135mm F4 G OSS lens which being 35mm full frame format means it actually has a focal length of 42-202mm on my FS7 since my FS7 is Super 35 (APS-C) format and the lens gets cropped. I found this lens very limited to longer lens applications but useless for probably 80% of what I generally shoot. I shoot a lot of reality TV, observational documentary, run n gun, etc. The 18-110mm F/4 G Oss Lens covers the most used focal range for this kind of work with no cropping on my FS7 as it is APS-C format. I was able to find very little review information on the lens and what I really wanted to know was how the focus would be and zoom speed. I have been spoilt by years on expensive broadcast ENG lenses which have lightening fast zoom speeds and the importance to me is how fast you can re compose a shot such as snapping in for a close up. Sure you can have the lens servo turned off & control it manually and I often do this but not having to move your hand off the focus to the zoom ring & back to the focus is a luxury & faster and a second or two count to me when covering fast moving reality smoothly. The 28-135mm in servo mode was painfully slow, fine when rolling on stuff but painful for repos and in manual mode was pretty bad too being fly by wire. So finally I have received my 18-110mm and its awesome! To my great relief in manual mode it has a precise crisp focus that doesn't feel like fly by wire and has end stops from 0.95 to infinity (It is the same in this regard to the 28-135 in manual focus mode). The zoom in manual mode feels totally mechanical exactly what you want and the servo zoom speed is heaps faster than the 28-135. With its smooth iris ring, precise manual focus and greatly improved zoom mechanism, steady shot and weather proofing, its going to be a great, versatile doco lens :). Its lighter & the new lens hood with shutter is great too. 5 |

Just learning about using manual exposure and using an 18% gray card -- this is so easy to carry with me. My friend saw it and decided she needed one as well. 5 |

My previous bag served me very well - just about 18 years of near-daily use along with the air travel and engagements around the country. I was looking for a case that could replace it and serve me at least as well. Within less than a day I found this superb replacement. Definitely a step (maybe two) above my previous case, it's already a comfortable, welcome companion on my daily excursions. I really like it! 5 |

Woolnut cover is just what it describes itself as. I have a ‘18 MacBook Air that fits without the tighness of other reviews. It holds the computer beautifully. 5 |
