X470 Motherboard Msi Gaming Plus Color Control

I installed this on a MSI X470 Gaming Plus Max board w/ Ryzen 7 5700X but the XMP profile wasn't available even with latest BIOS update. It was running at 2666mhz out of the box, so I manually overclocked it to 3200mhz using MSI's Memory Try It feature. According to HWInfo the memory is now running at 16-18-18-36-74 and it's been stable. I think that's pretty good timings for 2 x 32gb RAM sticks?

I installed into a MSI B450 Gaming Plus and it has sped up boot time.

Paired this with an MSI Tomahawk motherboard for a special gaming rig. It's quite fast and runs cool with the included CPU fan. Excellent value at a little over $200.

Note: I had to install this on a MSI X470, which is fairly old, and without M-FLASH. CPU works like a charm. Ran into some issues during installation, but now my computer goes fast. Me like.

I ordered ASUS TUF Gaming X670E-PLUS WIFI on Jan 10, 2023. After more than 7 months of using this motherboard with AMD Ryzen AM5 CPUs with air-cooling, I am satisfied with the persistent stability and availability of this motherboard. ASUS also updates the BIOS frequently so I can try new features like more compatibility with newer density memory modules. Overall, I would recommend this motherboard for buyers who plan to build AMD Ryan 7000 systems.

Very powerful CPU and a huge upgrade from my 2700X. I tried using it on my X470 motherboard, but it just couldn't deliver enough power. Crashed anytime the CPU was heavily used. Upgraded to a new X570 motherboard and my system has been rock-solid since.

This CPU has proved stable, fast, and quiet in an Asrock X470 Taichi motherboard. The AMD AM4 platform is now mature and consequently almost all issues have by now been resolved. That makes it easy to recommend this platform, as well as this CPU in particular. The 5600X is certainly better value than the 5800X.

I replaced a Ryzen 2600X powered X470 motherboard with a Ryzen 3700X powered X570 motherboard. The new system performance is somewhat better, but not awesomely different. Both systems have identical DDR4-3200 memory modules and similar M.2 SSD drives, so I'm seeing the motherboard and processor gains only. Probably cost too much for the gain realized, but I enjoy building my own systems. The 3700X has been flawless and meets speed rating (4400mHz) on at least 3 cores. Remaining 5 cores are 50mHz - 75mHz slower. Not something that is noticeable, I'm guessing.

Great motherboard for all my needs. This is my 1st new MSI MB. Everything is functional.
