Functionally identical to the Impact CA-106 junior to baby pin adapter. It's just a solid, well machined piece of stainless steel and is an essential tool if you need to get your lights down low. I usually use two and pair them with Kupo runway stand roller bases and Impact background reflectors. No need for sandbags when things are so low.

First, I love the FastBox. It is so compact and flat when folded. A Godox V1 or AD100Pro (or Profoto A1) can just magnetically click in to install. The twist-to-tighten light stand grip is quick to use. The total time to unfold, install a flash and put on a light stand is 7 seconds. However, there is a bit of a situation with the adapter sold for the Godox V1 (it also works with the AD100Pro). There are two different adapters. I prefer the older one which was low-profile with 14 very strong magnets. This is still on B&H's site but has been discontinued as of Sept. 2022. (Model numbers BH #ANFBGV1, MFR #FB-GV1.) Now there is a new FB-CA adapter with 6 weaker magnets. It adds a locking tab so the flash cannot fall out even if the FastBox falls or is heavily jarred. It is also about 1" deeper which increases by 1 the thickness of the FastBox when folded. The model numbers are BH #ANFBCA, MFR #FB-CA. In April 2022 I ordered a kit with 24" FastBox, V1 adapter, and grid. The adapter sent was the old 14-magnet low-profile style. (Kit model number BH #ANFB24V1K) On September 21 2022 I ordered the exact same kit with the same B&H model number. However, this one came with the new FB-CA adapter. I appreciate that the new adapter is improved since the flash can no longer fall out with a hard knock. But I did want to let prospective purchasers know which adapter is now being sold. Especially since a photo on the kit page currently shows the new adapter, while another picture shows the FastBox with the old adapter installed - a bit confusing.

I used the adapter/reducer on the Sony A7R3 (42 MP) with the 105-210 ULD zoom lens. The combination is a perfect match. Pictures have an amazing amount of detail in the center and the corners. No CA, lovely colors and a bit less contrast compared to modern 35 mm lenses which I personally like. Likewise the reducer works very well with the 24 mm fisheye. Amazingly sharp and crisp pictures at f11 and f16 except for the corners which show a low amount of softness (which is to be expected for such an extreme wide angle lens). There is a low amount of CA in high contrast situations. Lightroom had no problems to deal with it. All in all I am very pleased with the performance for my landscape photography. I would recommend this adapter to a friend.

I had to get this adapter to hook up my xbox to the internet at college. This adapter worked perfectly. I thought that the connection would be laggy, since it was $, but I have no problems with it at all. Does exactly what I wanted it to.
