I already had a PG wireless receiver, and this mic works perfectly with it. I talked first with Shure, to be certain of the frequency compatibility. 1st gig out, the receiver was located at the mix position, about 70 feet from the stage. Backward compatibility is important when you have been in this game for long (my first Mac bought in 1993). This adapter made it possible to daisy-chain an old LaCie Firewire 400 drive containing old photos through first a Firewire to Thunderbolt 2 adaptor and then the current Thunderbolt 2 to 3 adapter.
