Xbox Wireless Headset Audio Issues

I was hesitated for this headset for quite a while. It is mostly due to the high price around 90+. B&H had it for $ and I had no second thought and grabbed it. The PC dongle works great as your audio device stay online whether you have the headset set to USB or not. This won't confuse the PC as applications tend to bind it to an audio device and get confused when you disconnect devices. Bind a bluetooth headset to PC and you know what I mean. I use the bluetooth mode for my cell phone only. Switching works flawlessly with a toggle on the headset. The boom mic also falls into one of my strict criteria as I found most of the wireless bluetooth headset without boom mic struggle to deliver clear voice. This one will not let anyone to notice you on wireless. I have it working with all my VOIP app, including my company Cisco VOIP app.

For years I had been using the older Sennheiser RS 120 wireless headset which operated in the 926-928 MHz frequency range. The performance was adequate, but the unit suffered from multipath cancellation (signal reduction due to the out of phase combination of multiple reflections). You will notice this when you move your head slightly, and there would be a sudden, and audible, change in signal amplitude or a short burst of background noise. As I had need for an addition system, I decided on the RS 175 as it seemed to have good reviews. I have not been disappointed. The RS 175 operates in the 2.4 GHz band with digital modulation. While 2.4 GHz systems are also subject to multipath propagation deterioration, I noticed none with this system, even with the headset taken outside onto the patio with the transmitter 40+ feet away. As typical with digital modulation systems, there was a threshold effect -- if the headset got out of range, the signal would abruptly disappear, quieting the audio -- in the past, you would simply be greeted with noise. In addition, I very much like the Bass Boost and Surround Sound options which can be quickly selected at the press of a button on the headset. The one negative for the headset is that you need to really take the headset off in order to figure out which button to press. I find this a rather minor inconvenience as I am not changing audio level, bass boost or surround sound options on the fly. In summary, Sennheiser did a superb job with this unit. The audio quality is excellent (I used an analog input -- an optical interface also exists for even better quality) and the annoying multipath effects so common with many wireless headsets are non-existent.

I own two headset microphones. I own a wireless Nady UHF headset and a Audio Technica ATM75. The Audio Technica is a lot better durability and reliability. The headset from Audio Technica stays on my head a lot better than the Nady wireless. The Audio Technica headset mic is made a lot better than the Nady wireless. The Audio Technica is made out of metal for the headset and the Nady is made out of plastic. I like the Audio Technica a lot better.

Like many consumers of digital media, I have owned various headphones over the years; over the ear, in ear and the like. I have always had to use the smallest ear inset in the pack, and still suffered irritation after just a few minutes use. The Shokz OpenRun headset I purchased definitely resolves those issues. I am incredibly impressed with the fit, weight balance, and connectivity (I have an iPhone 12 Mini). The audio quality was surprising. I am not the most discriminating audiophile but wanted just to listen to music while working and/or working out. I was genuinely impressed with the audio quality and incredible comfort after hours of use. Great product and I, finally, have a resolution to my headset issues.

This is the most beautiful Xbox One wireless control you can get out there. B&H offers the best price!

Headset build and audio quality is excellent. I wish the headset itself looked a little better but build seems very durable.

I am so happy with this purchase. I’ve been having issues with my wireless mica transmitting without interference. I got this to use as a backup but the sound is so clear i prefer it over my wireless or shotguns. It’s easy to sync up the audio so no reason not to use it. I love that it records two tracks at optional separate levels in case the speaker is too loud. I’ve been a videographer for almost 20 years and can comfortably say this is one of the best audio recorders I’ve used. Very happy with this purchase!

Traditionally I have been using wireless transmitters for audio, but after too many issues of audio dropping out no matter which brand I tried, I picked up the DR-10L. I love this unit! The audio quality is excellent, and the body pack is nearly half the size of the Rode Link, and even much smaller than the Sennheiser EW100. Ideally, it would be incredible if one of the brands would do both wireless and SD backup recording in a unit this size. Fingers crossed that will come in the future.

I'm a DP that shoots a lot of doc and corporate style work. When budget is tight, I'm often asked to record audio by myself. For years, I've struggled with issues from my Sony wireless lavs, usually due to interference or other issues that should be solved by a proper audio recordist. But when I am doing the one-man-band thing, this recorder saves me a lot of trouble. Since it's not wireless, there is no interference to worry about. Since it has 32-bit float, I don't have to worry about gain. The only thing I need to focus on is making sure I've attached the lav properly. So overall this device saves me time on set. Another huge bonus is that you have the audio tracks on a separate memory card, and can share this with remote producers or editors immediately after the shoot, which they love. Bottom line: I would buy this again.

It blocks out the noise so you can hear all the different audio in the headset.
