Xc Source Waterproof Gopro Camera

Fits my gopro camera and waterproof housing.

This accessory was necessary to use the camera with the mic. It should be a choice to purchase a GoPro package with this housing OR the waterproof one which I will most likely never use.

I use this to hold my waterproof Olympus Tough TG-2 while kayaking. Everybody who sees it marvels at the uncomplicated and easy to use design, which allows solid hands-free filming but also drops the camera face down at pull of a tab to turn video on/off, check images, or frame a still, zoom, etc. I tell them it is just as great as it looks. Feels totally comfortable and secure, fits smoothly overtop of my life jacket with good range of adjustment, gives me needed access with no fuss detaching from screw mount to hand camera to others. My one suggestion for improvement: make screw mount bolt from stainless, rustproof materials. Very hard to clean out all water after a day of action, and grease or oil don't mix with my camera or other apparel. Overall I would say this rig beats GoPro hands down, and others who see me using it agree. (I did try GoPro system first, sent it back). This one is a keeper!

I love this waterproof housing. It enables me to remove and secure my GoPro with ease, while keeping the housing mounted on the motorcycle. It makes it easier to clean the bug off without damaging the lens. Since the GoPro is waterproof, I use it with the open back to ensure the camera stays cool. Only negative take away is I would have liked to have the option of a pass through for the cord to keep camera charged while on the road. Now if they would make one for the GoPro 11 Mini.

The light mod is a must have accessory if shooting anywhere where an artificial light source is needed. It turned out to be much smaller than I'd expected but still powerful enough to meet my needs. Conveniently, it has four levels of brightness and 5000K color temperature, which simulates daylight. It's bright enough that I can also use it for indoor still photography. The best thing about the mod is that it's free standing in the sense there are no cable attachments to the GoPro itself, meaning that it can be used with any camera. While it attaches directly to the GoPro Media Mod and other cameras via its hot shoe base, there are two problems with this. First, if placed on the camera it must necessarily be the same distance from the subject as the camera itself. Secondly, if mounted on the camera the light from the mod will be directly facing the subject, resulting in unattractive flat lighting. To solve these problems, I purchased an inexpensive tripod-mount hot shoe adapter so as to be able to mount the mod on my old Leitz Tiltall tripod. With this in place, I can move the light source independently of the camera and adjust the angle and direction of the light as I see fit.

We used our GoPro as a live video source during a two-day corporate event. Once we had the camera up, we just forgot about it and left it on. It stayed up and going for two days without issue. But one thing, I believe there's a backdoor accessory for this. Probably a good idea to buy it. I didn't, because I had a stock open Go-Pro backdoor, but the left side of it covers the slot where the power adapter goes into the camera. I had to saw the left side of the door off - so that the adapter would fit.

The range of accessories for the GoPro is excellent. The waterproof casing I purchased did the job perfectly!

Bought this to use with a GoPro, and it's the perfect companion, with both being waterproof! 3 brightness settings, with low being good for just a little full, and brightest being super bright, if that's what you need. The only real downside (which is specific to my usage) is that with the included diffuser (which works surprisingly well!), it puts some light into the lens (which a small piece of cardstock placed inside blocking that small spot works perfect). I wish it was USB-C instead of miniUSB to charge, but I'm very satisfied.

this case is the perfect size for my gopro in the waterproof housing, plus the frame housing, four spare batteries and the dual charger with the micro usb cable and the usb wall outlet thingy. all of that fits in there like a tetris game. love it.
